We could have lost this game and still made the playoffs as a wild card. What's so ironic is that this is the game that put Green Bay in the playoffs as a Wild Card Team. They traveled to Philly and won the game, knocking the Eagles out of the playoffs.
In Howie we trust. Wentz is the future, we've got Jordan Matthews. Doug Pederson has shown himself to be a calm, steady guy just like his mentor. All we need is to get the type of skill players next to Wentz. Ertz has to step up and be a producer, not just a training camp hype guy.
Sebastian Emery I miss these Eagles. I grew up with McNab when I was 3 or 4 and saw Vick, Maclin, Avant, McCoy and Trent Cole and Celek too play the redskins. I’ll always miss this team.
everything about this video is perfection. the music, the camera shots and of course the legendary commentary from Merrill Reese. Not only that but this was to make the playoffs and a rivalry game. I've watched this so many times but it'll never get old my goodness
Andy Reid who was the the coach for one of the greatest comebacks in NFL history and now just lead a big comeback in a Super Bowl You earned this one Mr, Reid🙌
I am Brazilian, this was the first NFL match I watched and it was from that day that I started to love the eagles, I hope one day I can visit Philadelphia and watch a match of my heart team
That comeback was something out of a Disney movie. Vick, Celek, Jackson and McCoy were the players that made that team. Haven’t seen an Eagles team like that since. Edit: yes, I know. the Eagles team this year looks amazing, but part of me feels like they’re turning into the 11-0 Steelers from 2020. Edit 2: I got em winning on Sunday and Jalen Hurts or Hassan Reddick getting the SBMVP.
The new Eagles aren't this explosive. My god, back then they were SOOOO fun to watch. Chip Kelly dismantled and now Dougie is rebuilding basically from the ground up, and even though they're definitely winners right now, they couldn't do something like this.
Steven Seagal Weeaboo King the new offense is way better than those days. They definitely are tougher, that old team was a bunch of really soft and fast guys.
+BillyGeek1 We actually were at David Busters watching the game ( Falcons fans so i was just watching the game to see Vick) and we were finna leave but i had to finish my beer lol. Clutchest beer of all time
Man I never knew how much I’d miss watching Vick play football. Wasn’t ever a fan of any of the teams he was on, but goddamn he made football fun to watch.
Unbelievabro Dude, he’s so excited. Such an electric player with the ability to make something out of nothing. I have high hopes that Lamar Jackson doesn’t let us down. So far he’s doing a great job.
As a cowboys fan... I was working at "Target" and was on my lunch break during the last 2 minutes of this game... simply incredible... such a shame Chip Kelly ultimately blew this team up. One of the greatest comebacks I ever saw
@@coreymason7748 like who?? The Eagles still had VIck, DeSean Jackson, and LeSean McCoy in 2013 when Chip got the job. The year after they were all gone lol
As a Packers fan, I will forever have a spot in my heart for the Eagles because of this game. With their victory, they knocked the Giants out of the playoffs, and allowed the Packers to sneak in as the 6th seed, and eventually go on to win the Super Bowl.
...then, the Packers beat the Eagles in the 1st round of the playoffs. That capped three straight losses after this victory (all at home). Nothing like ending the season on a GIANT thud.
Fuck the Packers. God I hate that shit. Your a Packers fan stay a Packers fan. I'm a diehard eagles fan, I don't got a special place for no team besides the eagles.
Bryce Anderson Not sure why you chose to tell me that, he's still a horrible and disgusting human being, so whether it's typical or not is not the issue
Harrison Bowman Idk. I don't know his past. If he grew up with that, he might think nothing of it. If he went into it at a later point in his life, then that's on him
Eagles are the bomb, FLY EAGLES FLY. Also you 2 assholes need to get some better insults than saying someones is sick come on guys its not the 2nd grade get creative.
I still remember watching this game. I dont usually turn games off but I desperately wanted to as an Eagles fan after the Kevin Boss touchdown because I cant stand losing to NY. I remember saying screw it I'll give them 2 minutes to turn this around. I was standing on my chair by the end of the game. Absolutely epic. The elation I felt was unreal
I’ve watched this video too many times. I’ve memorized every commentary but by Reese, every mic’d up but by the players and coaches, all the fans’ reactions, the music, the plays. And yet it still never gets old. 😎
One of the greatest offenses ever assembled to never win a Super Bowl. Michael Vick, Jeremy Maclin, Desean Jackson, Leshean McCoy, and Brent Celek. Just a ridiculous amount of talent.
Me and my high school team had a 2 minute comeback. It was 24-10 with 2 minutes left and we were in their stadium. I caught a 73 yard touchdown to make it 24-17 then our CB got a pick 6 with 3 seconds left in the game and after that we went for a two point conversion and my QB ran it in and we ended up winning 25-24. No where near as good as the Eagles comeback but I felt like it was worth sharing :)
What helped to make this so great to watch was the commentary from Merrill Reese, I loved it 😂 The voice crack when DeSean dropped the punt return to the sheer disbelief and reaction to the run back as a pure Eagles fan, it was just unbelievable!
I don't understand! The Giants play like shit in the regular season but end up playing well in the playoffs and win the super bowl but the Eagles play good in the regular season but play like shit in the playoffs. WTF?!
I remember listening to this on the radio because I had to work… I went inside to make a delivery and came out with that punt return… Go Birds… What a time…
He went to jail because of the people he hung out with, he didn't even hit a dog, just went to jail because he hosted it at his house. I agree, chip kelly probably would fuck over the Eagles even more if he stayed tho.
+krust No he wouldn't have. You think he is on Brady and Montana's level? He was just a fast player that happened to play QB. He wasn't accurate. He was quick to run when his first read broke down. He was a phenomenal talent, but he would never have been even top 25 all time. To be #1 all time he would have to win at least 4 superbowls and that would never have happened.
+Robert Nelson People are calling Peyton Manning one of the greatests of all time, and he only won 2 SB's. Most SBs are rigged anyhow and isn't even a fair game of skill. SB's shouldn't have to judge how great a player is, they should be judged on how great they play season after season even if they don't make it to the big game. Like I said, most teams are rigged nowadays to go to the SB.
Considered to be the most thrilling, most exciting and most watched regular season game in NFL history. I can remember it like it was 5 minutes ago. This version of the Birds was absolutely thrilling to watch, week in and week out.
TOM C um what??? you're saying last 8 years..going back to 2007..how relevant..and if you go back to 10 years..2005...the steelers have won 2...the patriots have won 2 in the last 11, and 4 in the last 15..so saying 8 to make it look better is kind of a poor argument..
they've won 2 superbowls in the last 8 years cause they haven't won any others in a long time...lol they got blown out in the 2000 superbowl vs the ravens...and when was the last one before that? 10? 20 years ago?
Ugh this game makes me so emotional! I remember watching it live and being the only Eagles fan in a room full of Giants fan and boy it was roughhhh 😅. It’s still one of my favorite NFL games. This is the Eagles team I fell in love with 🦅
I remember watching this game...and going to the bathroom right before the punt return...the lesson I learned is that you always hold it until the clock hits zero.
ThePenguinGamez Hahaha, that is the only big downer about using the pause button on games. ESPN Sports Center app has definitely ruined a game on more than a few occasions for me. I had to watch the game and act like I didn't know the outcome with my friends who had no idea.
Dude great respect. I am a patriot fan but I was a good sport when the pats lost to the Giants in the two Super Bowls, you guys showed that you were better than us
Man I remember this like it was yesterday. I had football workouts over winter break and everybody was talking about how crazy Desean Jackson was. I miss the highschool days lol
Everything Orange That only matters in regards to making the playoffs, not winning a SB. The Patriots dominate the AFC North and South as well so let's not focus too much on just their Division.
I just shed a tear. I remember watching this game. Eagles fans had left, many had changed the channels or turned their TV's off. I believed in my team and watched one of the greatest comebacks ever!!! I love my Team❤ #birdgang
2:14 Still my favorite play of the whole game. Michael with his back against the wall, but manage to find a way and help his team. That play reminded me of his entire career
Jesus Christ.. it's like you think you deserve a cookie or something. Typical bandwagon Seahawks fan. Pretty sure anyone that actually appreciates football likes this video too...
The memory of watching this game with my father is vivid. The video misses the indelible moment of Giants coach Tom Coughlin slamming his clipboard into the turf after Jackson scored the game winning touchdown. He had just warned his kicker in no uncertain terms to not kick the ball to Jackson. Against those stern orders, he kicked right to him anyway, and the rest is history.
Billsfan 2002 No, the greatest NFL comeback was when the Germany Nazi's went against the Green Bay Capitalists Lead by Kevin Durant, Sharkeisha and The Little Ensteins leading the Greenbay Capitalists a 420-69 point win over the Germany Nazi's In the Super Stanley Cup Bowl Series but Tiger Woods from the Vietnam Communist's got a 420 blaze it snoop dogg no scope dunk over Brock Lesnar from the Zimbabwe Anarchy's making him the mvp of the playoffs.
I think we can all agree that the best comeback was when landon donovan single-handedly came back 2,000,000,000 point during the against the Bulls 9th inning during Masters 2102 to rob that stanley cup with 1 halfcourt touchdown.
Miracle in the meadowlands 2... I was about to leave but stayed & watched & we won... I wish we won the Superbowl that year... I miss this eagles team...fly 🦅 fly!!!
I couldnt care less about what these guys do with their personal lives. I dont tune in on sunday afternoons to see rob gronkowski fold his fucking laundry. I only care about what I see on the field. Besides, they werent my dogs
I remember this win soooo clearly. my mom was yelling stomping her feet & up the stairs by the 3rd quarter. my uncle had already left during halftime & i was left by my little hopeful self yelling the ridiculous come back plays up the stairs & going crazy when jackson ran it in for the win. 😭 nostalgia.
