One Mathematician who deserves a place on this list is Claude E. Shannon, who developed much of the information theory which underlies the electronic and digital age, including his Masters thesis, A Symbolic Analysis of Relay and Switching Circuits, which was published and became very influential, along with his book "A Mathematical Theory of Communication". In 1949 He wrote the ground breaking paper describing how to program a computer to play chess, whose basic theories such as min-max pruning formed the basis of almost all future chess programs up until recent A.I. developments. But 99% of chess programs on the market today are still based on Claude E. Shannon's theories on how to construct a chess program .

I will mean that Kurt Gödel, deserves a mention for his incompleteness theorems, his significant contribution to mathematical logic, his philosophy on mathematics and computers and (even though it turned out not to be true) his contribution to theoretical physics in the form of Gödel space

If you do another installment you could include more modern mathematicians like Hausdorff, Tarski, Marshall Stone, Mac Lane they all did impressive work and completely shaped how we think about modern math
