I love the Jason Todds origin. In particular Red hood. We the fans made this chance happen. They made a generic Robin with anger issues into a complex multi layered anti hero and sometimes villian

I'd give it to Superman and Batman as far as the most iconic because it's awe inspiring, Superman is the ultimate symbol of good, what every person should be. Batman's origin story is so realistic, what happened to Bruce as a child can happen to anyone, it gets your attention instantly
For me, Rorschach and Dr Manhattan's origins are two of the most awesome of all time. It's pretty fascinating to see a child mistreated by this cruel World since his birth deciding to change it for the best in the most cruel way, and how a man became a literal God simply because he forgot a watch
I don't think you should just offer a part 2 - I think you should make this a sub series because you're right, there are so many great origin stories in comic history. I think a lot of us subscribers would watch the hell outta that!!

Spider-Man's Origins has always been my all-time favorite Superhero origin story. It is the most reliable and most realistic origin ever told. Batman's Origins is also great as well and also one of my all-time favorites.
@@brb7202 When I meant by realistic, I was referring to his real life situations and problems, Like being early at his work and job, taking care of Aunt May and his wife Mary Jane, paying home rent, water bills, electric bills and even hospital bills, As well as taking responsibility for his actions and decisions in his life as both Peter Parker and Spider-Man. Something that we as adults are always dealing with nowadays . And spider bite is obviously fictional and I already know that for years.

I don’t know how close the flash tv show is to the comics, but I love the idea of reverse flash having to create the flash bc he lost his speed and can’t time travel so he needs Barry to give him more speed.
What about Hellboy, I think this one is even more impressive knowing how late it was given to us as a comic, but also the story behind it - you are creator of your destiny, not what has been prophesied about you 😊

I’m definitely biased because he’s my favourite comic book character but I personally love the the cyclical nature of the flash’s origin (Barry Allen), especially in rebirth. He’s driven by the murder of his mother to pursue a career in criminal justice which ultimately leads to him getting his powers and becoming the flash, in doing so however he starts the domino effect which would lead to the creation of the reverse flash who would eventually kill his mother starting him on the path to become the flash in the first place, the added detail of him becoming the lightning bolt and struck him after his death in crisis really just adds a whole extra layer of storytelling which demonstrates that his powers were not given to him by chance but rather as a fixed point in history.

Considering my early favorites as a kid were Spidey, the FF, Hulk, Flash and Aquaman (yes- breathing underwater is underrated IMO) I'd have to start with them.
You covered some of my most favorite origins, but another favorite of mine is the Hulk’s origin. I grew up with 1977’s “The Incredible Hulk” with Lou Ferrigno & Bill Bixby and I loved that origin, but my favorite is from the comics! Shout out to the great Stan Lee!
when talking about the X-Men you should have added that they are a commentary on the 50s-70s Civil Rights Movement. A "war" brewing due to the inclusion of mutants who are different (a parrel to African Americans), Professor-X's approach of showing kindness over time to gain trust (MLK), Magentos' approach of taking action in a more hands-on and dominant approach (Malcolm X), that's why they are not necessarily rivals in the comics since they were both fighting to attain the same goal. I just think that is genius writing and makes the story all the more cool.

Robocop’s origin is one of the most tragic. Alex Murphy is brutally killed and then later rebuilt into a cyborg and later starts to remember his past life.
Having read the book Gladiator by Wylie, you can definitely see parallels between this an Superman's origin story. Yes I know there is some controversy as to whether this book did influence the creation of Superman. But having read it the similarities are uncanny. Dont think this book gets its due when it comes to Superhero development as a genre
Banner witnessed his father killing his mother after being rejected by his father for being a potential mutant due to gamma testing Brian Banner was doing on himself. He feared he passed mutated DNA onto Bruce which was correct which is why Bruce survived the gamma explosion
My 2 favorites are spider-man and captain marvel (Billy batson). Spider-man's origin taught a deep and powerful lesson and drives him to be the best hero marvel has. Captain Marvel's is the ultimate wish fulfillment embodies the child like wonder that is often not present in today's comics
Origin of the Robins is up there particularly Dick Grayson aka Nightwing along with Punisher, Black Panther, Spawn, Hulk, Preacher, Storm, Luke Cage, Silver Surfer, Daredevil etc.
My favourite origin is Kamen Rider by Ishinomori Shotaro. Hongo Takeshi was kidnapped by SHOCKER, an organisation made up with the remaining Nazi scientists. Hongo was remodelled into a Cyborg and was going to be brainwashed into SHOCKER's Elite Soldiers. However, Hongo managed to escape to safety. Now having to cope with his new augmentation, he fights to stop SHOCKER and any evil forces. Riding off into the distance, with his Mask covering his tears

In Jokers original 1940s origin there was no wife and kid Joker was a mass murderer and crook he recruited a gang to break in to the chemical factory for his last big heist when the police shot Jokers henchmen he dove into the chemical vat with scuba gear attached to his Redhood mask when Joker returned home and found his face and hair had been bleached by chemicals he didn't go insane he decided his new look would be his terrifying gimmick.
Okay. Before I start the video. Here’s my guesses and personal list. Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, Captain America, maybe Iron Man, Wolverine, GL Hal Jordan, The Flash (Barry Allen), Green Arrow (mostly because of Arrow), Batman Beyond, Spider-Man 2099. And maybe a few others but those are off the top of my head. Ultimate Spider-Man (miles morales) Edit: Also if we’re counting villains then the list is probably even longer. But a few would be Joker, Magneto, Lex Luthor (Smallville), Dr. Doom, Mr Freeze, Darkseid, and Thanos. Probably more but that’s just the first that come to mind. Deathstroke as well
Spiderman origin felt so goofy but he was most relatable in terms of peter parker. i feel thats why he became so popular. all the nerdy kids who most likely got bullied in school (at least back in my days) kinda related to him. sam Raimi did such a great job at depicting his origin story. one of the greatest and most popular comic book hero.. but i dunno about his top 1 stop in terms of origin story.
The Joker didn't have an origin story til recently is because his popularity only skyrocketed after Heath Ledger died. Before that, you would never see all these idiots with joker merch and tattoos. Go to any comicon and Joker is the 2nd most cosplayed after Deadpool. A simple look at google statistics proves this too. "Joker" was searched way more after Ledger died.
All I got is the idea, if I had writing talent I'd put pen to paper then share it. The idea: Superman's glasses were a gift from The Doctor after helping the Time Lord with a crisis! Yes, my idea was to make Clark's glasses Time Lord tech similar to the Psychic Paper the Doctor uses from time to... time.
I'm sorry but Stan Lee's biggest creation was his own. Stanley Martin Lieber went around saying he created almost everything marvel. He was nothing more than a hype man. He even went around stating he created Captain America. He took credit for all the work Ditko and Kirby did. Might as well call Rob Liefeld a great creator after cloning Deadpool from Deathstroke.
