Best "Walk-on" right? Stetson and it's not close..(for me) His walk-on story holds more weight, he went through more and over came more physically, (in my opinion) to ultimately become a 2x National Champion in easily the toughest conference in football. Condon is an incredibly great BASEBALL player, none like him, but he ain't no Bennett. 👍🏾

I think they both contributed in different ways. Uga in football had been really good and top notch and he got them over the top while condon rejuvenated the uga baseball program after being down for majority of the last 15 years and lead them to a super regional for the first time since 2008

I love both very much. It felt like I was one of the only people who took up for Stetson Bennett when no one liked him much. And Charlie Condon was done absolutely incredible things that I have never seen done... baseball is my second favorite sport behind basketball so I choose Charlie Condon ! But they both are amazing

If you're including the "story" aspect then it's easily SB3. There are too many subplots. Then he broke the 41yr Natty drought. That would be enough but nope he came back and did it again.

IMO the Condon story is entirely exaggerated. The truth of the matter is people knew about Condon and he always tested exceptionally well at PG events. Unfortunately for him, college baseball recruitments essentially finalize in the summer of your junior which happened to be in COVID. Charlie made a big jump from sophomore to junior year but didnt really get to show that on the circuit. It cant be claimed no one wanted him when he was being considered for a preferred walk at the likes of TN and other places. People knew of him. Most players on a baseball team are a walk on. That aside, bad timing contributed to Condon being a walk on. Just because he wasnt ready to play as a freshman in the SEC doesnt mean he was some scrub. You all talk about him going to play summer ball as if its a bad thing. All most every college player plays in a summer league. With all that said, once Condon added muscle and had the body of an SEC player, he was given a shot. It wasnt until the very end that UGA wanted Stetson. The “stories” arent even comparable. Charlie is obviously the better player but its an apples to orange situation
