Why don’t Qatar/Turkey and these rich places beside them take them? We are in a capital surplus, inflation is artificial in Turkiye, wages have risen over 100 percent, economic growth in 2020 was 11.5 percent, europe, us was in the negatives. External debt in Turkiye is about 35 percent of GDP, avarage in europe is around 85 percent. We are seeing investment over investment every week, all infrastucture is getting renewed, production is high, unemployment is in single digits and that unemployment is due to people been well off and not liking a job as there are plenty of jobs. Currently a Turk with avarage income can buy around 30 percent more everyday goods compared to a French in france with avarage income.

Addressing the idiots who commented here; There are already over 5 million refugees in Turkey, and in the view of the majority of Turkish people, Turkey has no obligation to stop anyone trying to cross over to the West. Unfortunately, Turkey is already serving western interests in this regard, a few million more refugees would have crossed into the EU without the agreement signed on March 18, 2016. Turkey does not have the status of being a scapegoat for the west, but the west has to bear the burden of the global migration crisis.
No one said to stop them going west. If you don't want them in Turkey send the back. Don't send them in the EU cause the EU will send them back to you. Simple as that

The problem is, that they go on wall in Greece to travel further to the Netherlands and Germany, because there is free money. But we are full, we even have homes for our own children. And then the next question, when you know you don't have not so much money, why you made a lot of children, femali's are 6,7,8 persons, and we don't have homes that big for them.
The Greek coast guard are a disgrace. Using a coast guard boat funded by the EU, they stood by as people drowned, and then threatened the survivors not to talk.

It is actually Turkey that sponsors these voyages, providing rafts and encouraging these unwanted, loathsome muslim migrants that no one wants to make these dangerous crossings. Also, isn't Turkey supposed to be a safe country. No reason for these unwanted muslim migrants to leave Turkey.

Nonsense this is Turkish propaganda. It left out Turkey, as a self-proclaimed safe country, is supposed to stop migrants from leaving for Greece.
