In this video, I play the Taimanov Sicilian against Flaccidmoves (2364) in the second round of the May Chess Mayhem tournament hosted by GM Ben Finegold. Make an impossible move with your queen to deselect it (click on empty squares that the queen can't go to) this is an annoying lack of QoL feature on chess.com imo

hey, can someone recommend anything for building an opening repertoire. i'm always playing the same opening, but now i want to explore different openings. any tips. ps: great video

Depends on what you play now, i generally used to play e4 ruy lopez classical, and tge najdorf sicilian, but ive branched into other variations of the sicilian including the taimanov shown here, i still usually only play the ruy as white but occasionally will bust out an english? (Essentially i use and play my knowledge of sicilian as white one tempo ahead... I usually lose like this though, but it is fun) if you explore the variations in the openings you know u can add variety or find other openings that attempt the same goals. I play sicilian because it gives me attacking chances vs white on e4, which is the reason i also picked up the budapest gambit vs queens gambit, i like to attack.
