I love your take on history: People then are like people now. Disorganized, egotistical, thoughtful, loving, hating. We're a mess, and always have been. Greeks seem especially squabbly. There's another RU-vid channel I watch called "Fall of Civilizations," and he covers the Viking settlement of Greenland. They lucked into an unusually warm epoch, raised sheep and cattle, farmed, and traded abundant walrus ivory. But like all good things... You Rock! Cheers!
How come a bloke with qesrionable haor style choice just talk8ng to the camera in his own living room makes such compelling impossible to look away very interesting and captivating video? You are not even a Scot, the only interesting people in britain! You, sir, are a genious. You are the second coming of Michael Wood, and that's the highest compliment i can give to a british historian with popular appeal. In the 1980s and 1990s you would had your own tv series.
Not only are your videos well researched, but the way you form a coherent and engaging narrative on the subject makes for a great listen. Thank you for the effort you put in these. Lately I've been getting into the topics of post-roman kingdoms and the great migration period. Have you considered making videos on the long and violent decline and fall off the Roman empire?
