When I was a kid, our apartment faced the back parking lot of a Greek church. This music and dancing brought me back to many nights of watching the celebrations from my balcony. We looked forward to this entertainment every spring, summer and autumn.
That’s awesome so important for children to know their family’s cultural customs, dances, food and such! It’s a link to their ancestors and a beautiful tradition to keep alive❣️
My gosh 😍💙❤️ how they proudly embrace their culture. You must be extremely proud! So cute how they ended up next to each other. She's on his right, people😊🥰 LOVED!
I just love it! We need more traditional dance on You Tube-like Scottish country dancing, or traditional Russian dance. I also like the young folk carrying on the traditional dance. ❤❤❤
Bravo Dimitri, me & my siblings were in a greek dance group years ago in Metro Detroit. We made life long friends, ppl met & married. Best of all we kept our roots firmly planted in the motherland 🇬🇷🇬🇷
very interesting. I was imagining these people dancing to this music in ancient times. This is what they did for fun back then! Very sweet that your kids participate in tradition. Thank you for sharing. Incidentally, I love Greek food! Please invite me to your next party!
Loved it! So glad guys are so involved w/your culture and that you share so much with your teenagers. I almost didn't recognize Georgie without his sunshades ! 😎 I'm attending a Greek Festival here in Dallas next month.
Finally some Greek dancing! I was so surprised by the music and dance. This is frequently danced "moro" in Bulgarian gatherings. The "horo" or line dance is called "The three times" or "The three ways".
I love Greek music. Years ago I worked for a Greek family in their restaurant. Great memories. They make you a part of the family. The music was awesome. I still have several cassettes (that’s how long ago it was).
WOW! So exciting to see young folk involved in such events! They look so happy! I personally LOVE going to our Greek Festival in St. Louis, MO every Labor Day weekend and I'm Irish, lol! Great food and entertainment! Just love the atmosphere there every time! Thanks for sharing Jimmy!
Greek dancing is so family oriented. You have done such a great job with your family. It's wonderful to watch them enjoy their culture. Beautiful to watch this dance 😍
The spiritual energy these precious souls connect with is truly amazing Kronia Pola 🙏❤️😘 love you guys so so much and am so grateful to have you in my life ❤
That is awesome that your kids are involved in learning dances of their culture. I as a teenager danced with a Ukrainian group from my church. Many good memories with good friends. I love that you keep them involved with your culture also. I can tell they are good kids and are being raised right. I enjoy all of your dancing 💃 🕺
I think it's fabulous to see teens interested in participating in their culture. I was born in the USA and my parents and their parents w😊ere from different cultures so I have never experienced this sort of thing and wish I had. I guess you can call an American Mutt! LOL
I love seeing the next generation keeping their culture and traditions alive. I have been married to a Greek man for 42 years and love when the family gets together and parties. So much fun.
So wonderful to see the kids so involved in & enjoy their culture. I’ve seen some similar dancing at Greek weddings. But the 1st guy is usually older with a handkerchief doing his own moves, but still holding hands with the group 😅
Im happy to see so many Greek young ppl celebrate and dance their own traditional greek dance,Greek ppl Are so proud of their country and you should, its beautiful, beautiful country with good ppl🇬🇷
Beautiful. At first, I was waiting to see some breakout exciting moment; but as it progressed I felt a different kind of happiness take over: It is the joining and bonding together, and sharing the experience as a group, a joined group. It echoes and reinforces being connected as a family, community. It is beautiful to perpetuate these joyful traditions. (And the young men and ladies can also spock each other out, see who they might wish to dance with more… in the future. ;)
