Do I freeze them before or after cooking???

They freeze amazingly well after being cooked. Allow them to cool completely before placing to an airtight container or freezer bag; they keep for up to 4 months. Have a lovely day Yomama☺

try them with cabbage leaves instead of grape leaves...my turkish bulgarian wife does them with cabbage it is great...though am Tunisian and not accustomed to such dolmas and sarmas

Hi Lindsey! They definitely taste great. Perhaps you should look for them at a Mediterranean/Greek specialty store because they're cheaper there. Have a fabulous week ☺

I don't see why not... It should be just fine as long as you cover your dolmades with a lid or plate as shown in the video. Please let me know how they turn out... Have a great weekend! ☺

They make these at the Fat Greek in Las Vegas and they are amazing! They don't always have them, call ahead. Their alvgomono soup and beef kabobs, (ask for medium rare), and Greek hamburgers are also fantastic. One of my favorite Vegas little hidden jewel restaurants off the strip.

clubfoody.com Oh I plan on trying to make them myself, especially the avolgomono sauce to maybe dump over chicken. I can drink that sauce it's so delicious LOL! That's why I looked up recipes until I found your recipe and you appear to make them similarly. The Fat Greek's are made with ground beef. I'm funky about using lamb if it's too gamey. I've mixed them before using mostly beef. My husband and daughter love lamb. The only thing that surprised me in your recipe is cinnamon. Thank you for your recipe and I like the idea of the lid vs a plate to pick up with tongs. I'm accident kind of prone too 😆. The Fat Greek in Las Vegas is off Decatur Blvd and Flamingo, just down from the Palms Casino.

I'm like you when it comes to lamb. That's the reason why I add cinnamon in the meat mixture. I love avgolemono sauce and I have a recipe called Avgolemono Soup with Chicken... yummy! I will post this recipe next year (I'm not sure when). Have a fabulous week! ☺

Hey! Thought I'd let you know, it's pronounced like "ah-vo-le-mo-no". You don't pronounce the G so harsh haha, good attempt though! nice recipe.
