A wonderful display of national pride and cultural heritage on Greece's Independence Day celebrations, 25th March. A few clips captured on the harbour front whilst in Rhodes, March 2023. It seemed like the entire town, and then some, had turned out. A nation who knows what it means to fight for something worthwhile on their own soil, perhaps, having been reminded by the nazis in the second world war. The Greeks won their independence from the Ottoman Empire in 1821.
