Brilliant video Paul, i,v just come across the podcast you and Mat Ireland do with Dougie. I only went looking for it after Mat mentioned it in his last video, anyway i started listening this week and love hearing about your travels👍
My father used to drive a 6x2 500 v8, badged 2550 I think? with the Eurocab. I remember the standard cab was more desirable for export because the Eurocab extension was fibreglass. Thought it was an iconic truck.
@@keithmartley6927 All correct there Keith. The Eurocab was really only a stop gap for two to three years so Mercedes Benz could offer a high roof until the Actros was launched. The big advantage of fibreglass is that they didn't rust and a Eurocab is the sought after model now.
@@Paulo660 hindsight is a marvellous thing. There has been a lot of machinery exported in the last few years that will be sought after in time to come. Granted everything has a period where it us surpassed or the technology is dated and its not attractive at that moment but unfortunately modern cars and trucks will be hard survive to a classic status with the amount of electronics and Ecu's. You would need the help of a master tech and deep pockets to revive 1.
