Thank you a lot for your fantastic lessons. Just one question/comment: I have seen in other verb lists that the pronounciation of the two verbs ανεβαινω and κατεβαινω could also be different from the accent on the ω-ending as you taught us. They are on the e instead. Are both options used in Greece? Kind Regards, Reinald
@greeklessonsonlinevideos
@greeklessonsonlinevideos 2 года назад
Of course, it depends which form you will use: Present ανεβαίνω / κατεβαίνω Future θα ανεβώ / θα κατεβώ 🙂

Dear Alexia, thank you for your lessons, I am so lucky to have found you here! The future verb videos are very good indeed and made a lot of sense to me since I am self-studying using a book (Communicate in Greek 1) which is all in Greek with no English translation. I have a quick question - will you still do a video for the future tense for the Γ1 & Γ2 verbs? Thank you for your time. Luiz

hi follow up question the verb πηγαίνω (6:20 mins) is an A verb and in the future becomes θα πάω it says there it becomes B1 isn;t it belongs to an AB Verb? I am sorry if i understand it in a wrong way. Thank you in advance

Γεία σας. I hope you are doing fine. I just want to ask and clarify something I am confused about in the irregular verbs. These irregular verbs are belong also to the group of A, B1, B2, C verbs. They are just considered irregular coz it changed its form when it is in other form of tenses? I saw they have the endings of -ω, -ώ, -ομαι, and etc same in A verbs, B1,B2 ? Or i understand it in a wrong way. I just want to know if these irregular verbs can also be found in A verbs, B1, B2, Thank you very much for your help. I have learned a lot from you. 💜
@greeklessonsonlinevideos

Γεια σου! At the present tense all the categories are regular (A, B1, B2, C etc). When we put them in other tenses some of them become irregular. For example an A verb : βλέπω , at the Future Tense is irregular (meaning that it doesn't follow the pattern of the other A verbs)!

I have checked three web sites of conjugator to conjuate the word "περιμένω" into future tense and the result are "Θα περιμείνω", i.e. with "iota" before νω. What happen that you said that is the same.

This verb is irregular. Μένω - θα μείνω But Περιμένω - θα περιμένω

Hello Alexa, may be I'm wrong and my question is about the verb "work" (sorry I have no Greek keyboard). I saw a word "Douleuw-A" as past tense. But I got from your lessons, it should be "douleuPSA". Am I wrong? If so could you please inform what's wrong with me. Thank you very much. 😊

ευω becomes εψω in the future and εψα in the past. Δουλεύω Θα δουλέψω Δούλεψα Ψαρεύω Θα ψαρέψω Ψάρεψα Μπερδεύω Θα μπερδέψω Μπέρδεψα

I have a question: I saw the English sentence: "You have to get off at the back" translated into Greek as follows: Is this correct? The ending of the verb looks to me like the ending of an A verb, not a B2. Just curious.
@greeklessonsonlinevideos
@greeklessonsonlinevideos 5 лет назад
Κατεβαίνω is in the subjunctive form. In the present is an A verb and in the subjunctive is irregular and we conjugate it as B2. However, the form that you saw is not absolutely correct (we use it but mostly when we speak). The correct form would be πρέπει να κατεβείτε
@j.o.1516
@j.o.1516 5 лет назад
@@greeklessonsonlinevideos Yes, κατεβείτε is what I had expected. Thank you very much for taking time to explain that to me and again also for all your great online lessons.

@@greeklessonsonlinevideos Yes I know they belong in these groups in the Present tense. But they have an irregular way to form the future, right? so how come ακουω becomes ακουσω; or καιω-καψω; What is the rule there?

Μια αλλί εροτισι; The verb "Θέλω" - does it belong to category A, B1 or B2 and/or is it an irregular verb? I wonder because it looks like category A verb in the present, but the future form is "Θα Θελίσω" which has the same conjugation as B1/B2 verbs.
