I have learned that the TV announcers are not enthusiastic about GB. So, Packers Fans are tuning to the radio station that carries it and turns off the sound on their TV’s. It’s more positive and enjoyable.
My mother inadvertently turned me into a packer fan!! I was a 10 year old Air Force brat in 1967. Stationed in Goose Bay Labrador. Not much to do up there. Did alot of reading!! She got me all these nfl books. Great teams of the NFL. Great players of the NFL. Great coaches etc... LOTS AND LOTS of Packer glory in those books!! So even before I even got old enough to watch NFL football I had my team!! Then I got the book Instant Replay by Jerry Kramer!! By the time I started watching in 1972 my first and only taste of Packer Glory it was followed by decades of losing until the 90's. But I stuck with them!! Packer fans are everywhere!! Down in Tampa when the Packers came to town the Packer fans outnumbered the Buc's fans in the stands!! GO PACK GO!!
@@Lee.Higginbotham You must be my doppelganger. Same age. pack fan. Read all those books: Great QBs of the NFL, etc. Please tell me you read Jerry Izenberg's 1970 book "Championship." The Internet is great, but life before it was great too!
Goodness. That 1st throw to Adam’s off his back foot and somehow over the top of Warner into Adam’s lap is just unstoppable. He makes everything look so easy when there’s really only a couple QBs who are even capable of making that throw. And this man doing it off his back foot w/ 30 seconds and no timeouts down 1.
I love how this was recommended to me after the Cowboys couldn’t do this with more time. And I love how quickly they were able to get a snap off by not placing the ball and handing it to the ref lol
@@PHELCAN Yes he did. He also didn't move it like the ref in the Dallas game. However, you can't put yourself in that position and blame the refs. It's bad clock management by Dallas.
@@paullee1521 The ref really should have moved it in the Dallas game. They tried to give themselves something like 3 extra yards from where Dak started his slide.
@@PHELCANCuz Dallas tried to be slick and move it 3 yards ahead of where Dak slid. Red had to move it back to the actual spot. It’s not eh Cowboys for not knowing the rules and blocking the refs path to the ball.
Great finish. I don't understand Al Micheal's very flat, less than excited call, as if he was hoping for a different outcome. The only thing missing was a yawn.
Packers fans have seen hundreds of these throws. Pretty much numb to it at this point he’s just on a different level than every other QB idc what anyone says he’s the best ever in my opinion
Not a packers fan but man y’all need to put some respect on arod every year y’all doubt him before the season and then stuff like this happen hopefully they make it to the Super Bowl 🙏 he needs another ring
anyone else notice how rodgers is aware the ball has to be handed from the official to the center before the snap occurs? the cowboys should have watched this video before their playoff game
Is it me or was AL Michaels kinda disappointed the Packers won?!? No enthusiasm for a winning drive on 3 completions and field goal in 37 seconds!!! Retire you 49er loving chump
I was there at the game! What an amazing sight! Definitely marked off my bucket list to see Rodgers play and he did it in God like form! Best QB to ever play the game! The look on the Niner fans was priceless
Right because there's always going to be the last second favoritism penalty to give the Packers the win. It's like watching the same movie over and over again. Rodgers is the NFLs love child.
QB don't win Superbowls, it a TEAM effort. Brady had dominant defenses for most of his reign and excellent coaching. Great QB's shouldn't be judged primarily by Superbowls but by how much they lift their teams year in and year out. Dallas didn't win 3 Superbowls in 4 years during the 90's because Troy was the best QB. He's got 3 times as many rings as Rodgers so...
@@q12aw50 Me neither. Brady has been on a superteam every year he won. People also like to leave out that he has been involved in the n more Super Bowl losses than any other player.
I’m a Diehard Packers fan Commentators during commercial break: ya let’s see how long the 49ers lead lasts because Aaron Rodgers is about is about and when he takes the field it’s game on ok but let’s not show any emotion for them 49ers fans when Rodgers takes the field: well it was fun having the lead while it lasted Packers fans getting ready to leave until they realize there’s still 37 seconds left: alright time for A-A-Ron to do his magic Matt LaFleur: alright Rodgers you know the drill you know how to do game winning drives Rodgers: alright Adams catch it and get it Field goal range (Adams gets to midfield) (Rodgers spikes) Matt LaFleur: Alright Crosby stay close (Rodgers throws incomplete) Rodgers: alright someone catch it this time (Rodgers completes a pass I couldn’t see who he threw it to) Rodgers running to the line to spike: come on hustle guys we don’t got all day (Rodgers spikes) Matt LaFleur: Crosby go go go go (49ers try to ice The kicker has absolutely no effect on Crosby) (Crosby nails the game winning field goal And the 49ers can’t believe what they just saw) Me a 13 year old whose a diehard packers fan: I go nuts when they win the game I was so loud the entire block could here me Rodgers: I’ve done these game winning drives a million times it’s nothing new to me Crosby: I’ve kicked game wining field goals a hundred times it’s just a routine kick for me And the Packers prevail again
Not down playing Rogers skills but I could make those throws if the O line in front of me could hold like that. Ref's not gonna call holds, arm bar tackle s this year I see lol
37 seconds from the opposing teams 25 yard line with no time outs, game is over for any other quarterback. It doesn't matter if other QBs have more passing yards, more TDs or any other stat. Aaron Roger's is the best quarterback to have ever played in the NFL.
Just watched this after knowing Packers will be playing 49ers this Saturday (1/22/22). This was a great game, and I hope for a similar result. But, take a close look at the last pass to Adams. After he catches the ball, a Packers player puts the ball down to spot it. The umpire looks like he barely touches the ball, and then the Packers are able to spike. Bet Dallas wishes they had this umpire against the 49ers. Oddly enough, the officiating crew is Jerome Boger's. They officiated the Raiders/Bengals game and have been told they won't be back the rest of the playoffs. Crazy!!
Yo, Adams gave the ball up to the refs. Dak gave his ball directly to the center. Get off the refs buggering up the Cowboys. Dak ran extra yards on a draw that was not a good idea anyway vis a vis time left and no timeouts. Then he didn't surrender the ball to the refs. He gives it to the center, gets everybody lined up (so the ump has to crash through to set the ball per NFL rules since the AFC was formed) and then says to the press "give 'em credit" for fans being mad at the refs. Dak screwed the pooch on this one, as did McCarthy and the OC. I know reality sucks, but that's the way it broke. The Cowboys better learn from the Bears: "Wait until next year!"
0:47 I seriously believe Rodgers loves making those throws because it gives the defender hope of catching it, only for his hope to go speeding on by into the hands of his opposer. He’s thrown so many of those. Ryan Clark even talks about Rodgers throwing a similar pass in the super bowl and smiling about it. But man can my boy Rodgers throw an accurate pass.
Rodgers is the most perhaps the most talented and unorthodox QB of all time. He sees the game differently from other QBs and finds people open in spaces that can barely fit an atom! There will never be another like him and the window on the Pack is starting to close. Time for their under-performing D to step up for once and win a Super Bowl. (BTW, what's with Michaels' funereal call on that 50+ yard field goal. Not his best moment and a real downer for the viewer.)
@@seryakobs766 I’m born raised and life long Green Bay resident. Even if I didn’t watch the game, I can hear what’s happening from all my neighbors houses. Had me second guessing my comment
a lot of slam on announcers pro sf. collingsworth 'sack now" was fair enough as describer outscore for both teams. michael's during drive catches showed some pizzauh. plus radio announcers just go bat s...t wild to spruce up the call. SCORE, TOUCHDOWNNNN, the kick is GOOOOOOD too much sauce.
Im not familiar with NFL rules. When Devonte caught that last catch. Could San Fran have just surrounded him, not touch him down and have the clock run out?
Also, you can't burn too much time because the rest of the team is sprinting up to the line for the spike. Even if they kept it live, waiting for 10 blockers is not a great idea. Adam's also wouldn't go for the end zone, but out of bounds to stop the clock.
He "gave himself up" meaning he declared himself down to the officials (rather than waiting for a touch from a defender) so they could blow the play dead. However, a catch / run that ends in the middle of the field (vs. going out of bounds) keeps the clock going. That's one nuance. That's why they try to run out of bounds, so the clock stops. The other is if they blow the play dead, and San Fran would've impeded him, the rest of the Packers or the refs from placing the ball for the next snap, they could' have been called for "Delay of Game" which would have stopped the clock and given them a 5 yard penalty. So once the play is over, the teams are obligated to get back to their own side of the ball and prepare for the next play, and anyone impeding that might draw the penalty (pretty rare - it is usually pretty blatant when they call it).
I was wondering on the last catch why SF defender touched the reciever. Even though Al Michael's says he gave himself up, if the receiver had not been touched wouldn't the GB player need to try to continue to advance the ball thereby using up more time then get tackled down or stopped? They were able to spike with only 3 seconds left only because that defender touched him and ended the play too soon in my opinion.
