Man, as someone that's a MASSIVE, hardcore, Green Day fanatic, it makes me so happy and proud that so many people know the lyrics to this song and are singing along to it, despite it only being a couple weeks old
huge GD fan here. they place people in the crowd that the cameras will focus on. pretty much paid actors. its the shows producers choice, not GD's. its a kick ass song but its not that popular (yet). It has the sound that could end up blowing up though, we shall see!
As someone who works in the entertainment industry, hate to say it, but it’s all staged. This is filmed weeks before NYE. And they tell the audience they have to act abnormally happy. Always smile. And they share the song before showing up and tell them to sing along. It’s all about the image 😢
Yeah this performance in particular had fake written all over it. You could kinda tell, no judgement on any of the people in the crowd but none of them particularly looked like they'd be hardcore Green Day fans who would know all the words to the new stuff, hell even real hardcore Green Day fans don't listen to the new stuff 🤣 I remember during the FOA era, I think it was some NHL show or something, there's footage of them playing "Ready Aim Fire" and then afterwards Billie is like "I'm being told we have to perform that again cause you guys weren't going crazy enough" It's not news about how much of this stuff is set up, but if anything I hope that it gives Green Day a boost for their upcoming album
Couldn't agree more. Billie said in an interview that he thinks GD fans are really going to dig the new album, and it'll prob be their favorite since American Idiot.. and I'm starting to believe him 🎉❤ Can't wait!!!
I was thinking about this the other day, billie was so involved with alcohol and drugs he could have died like many others. He's still able to write great songs
@@Rafael-pi4md To me Billie seemed less like a self medicating drug addict and more like a recreational thing that spiraled out of control. Kurt Cobain for the opposite example self medicated and well... we know how that ends.
Even if someone doesn’t like them they have to admit they CARRIED the live music that was played during this program. The people in LA definitely got the best show
I will never be able to get mad at them. They brought me on stage and let me jam with the band in front of an entire arena. I will always be grateful for that chance
The fact that Billie's voice has stayed so amazing over all these years is just Mind blowing! I love these guys so much and the new album is one of the best! KEEP ROCKING GUYS!!!!! 🤟
@mikedavis8008I know them but I was actually talking when they sing the chorus they sound as high as Billie but I don't know if that supossed to be right or the mixing is bad like usually it is. Also Jason White is been since Nimrod, Freese American Idiot and Kevin Father of All 😬
@@errix And where's your proof on that? Cuz the instruments are clearly actually been played and plugged in and the vocals are clearly real too. Green Day aren't really a band to use backing tracks hence why they have touring members so they can fill out the sound They're using wireless systems which they've used for years now, hence why they arent dragging guitar cables around and as for amps, they never have the amp heads on stage and have them in racks which they've done for years and while the have cabs there, they'll have their proper cabs backstage so the mic doesn't get loads of bleed from drums etc
Because part of it is. There’s pitch correction and a vocal backing track during the End of each chorus. Really listen, still a great performance, but if you listen closely you can hear it
@mikedavis8008 He's singing live but there's definitely pitch-correction on his mic and some layering in the chorus. Especially the end of the chorus. "Dead man walking" at 0:37 is obvious. Untouched vocals don't sound like that.
@@TheDreamingInsomniacs Yeah there is some backing vocals and pitch correction for sure. I mean we all heard how bad he sounded on the Amazon live show compared to the video they put out of the same song sooo.
First great GD song in a couple years. Billie and Co have absolutely killed it on Saviors, and it really feels like they're tried to cement their sound in the history books with the album while leaving room for evolution.
Green Day has managed to stay true to the kind of music they want to write and not doing what is deemed commercial these days. They’re just brilliant!! They also sound exactly the same live which is rare these days
It's so great that this awesome band that is already so accomplished is still turning out great original music. That and seeing so many different kinds of people enjoying it gives me hope for the future.
El hecho de que esto haya sido subido el día de mi cumpleaños hace que lo sienta aún más especial. Gracias Billie, Mike, Tré y Jason por hacer tremendo TEMAZO
I LOVE Green Day‼️All the members are superb. No matter how many times I listen to their songs, I still feel the same emotion as when I first heard. I think that's what a masterpiece is. Billie is truly genius, genius composer, true punk rocker. Happy New Year everyone❣️
I feel ya. We relapse many times. We are alcoholics. I finally managed on April 14th to hit 10 years since my last drink. But it is still one day at a time. Stay strong. Peace
Every time I've seen them has been amazing. I met them all too, really down to earth guys. I wish I could meet someone like in this video, hard to ever meet anyone with the same musical tastes these days.
Yeah, I’ve seen them live 5 times and never used pitch correction and backing tracks, even during the AI & 21stCBD tours when I saw them, so this is a little irritating now that I hear it all but it’s still a great performance. Guess they just need a little technological help
@@TheDreamingInsomniacsbillie’s voice hasn’t been as strong lately so he’s starting to get pitch corrected in recorded live performances. this song is pretty hard to sing too
