I'm a huge fan of Green Day, but beside the fact that it's them, and ignoring the fact that this is basically an advertisement for clothing, and coming from the perspective of a geeky art student majoring in video: This is wonderfully done and I absolutely love the style and editing of this, especially the abrupt ending as poor Mike falls from the beam. If they were ever to make a full music video in this form I'd definitely watch it. Repeatedly.
I *love* the fact that you have three men with physiques that would be considered "too small, not muscular enough, not good looking enough, etc" going out and proving that yes, they sure look good enough to do this. And that in the end, beauty is not what the fashion industry would like us to think.
also, punk was kind of started with Vivienne Westwood's fashion store and she clothed the Sex Pistols and the Bromely Contingent(not a band by the way, look them up). Vivienne Westwood is now a very famous designer.
They are very amazing and that dresses? Wonderful *_* I love GREEN DAY ... nad trè cool is more thin than 3 years ago when he registered 21th century breakdown
that confused me so much. but it's cool because it's Green Day. and Green Day does what Green Day wants. no one questions the beauty that is Green Day.
I must admit it was shocking for me at first seeing them acting like supermodels, but i was kinda sad today and this definitely made my day! Plus they're goofing around the whole video, i'd die for a 'make off' version of this! X3 I love them, even if they are 'Fashion Victims' now~~
@stuartandtheavenue93 and yet you find clash photographs on john varvatov's website. There are other musicians who have connections with this brand, Alice Cooper, Ringo Starr, Slash, Iggy Pop etc.. I don't see why this clothing ad will effect your perception on the band. They are just doing other things beside their usual projects.Does it effect their music ? I don't think so. After all they all have their personal lives and they just can do what ever they want.
PASOIJHDAPJAJ They all look so stunning !! John Varvatos made a good job. I want every boy to buy his clothes and look like Tré, Mike and Billie in here. HOT.
@disappearinglau I saw this in GREENDAY.com, and it's cause the dude John Varvatos has some rock 'n roll thing going on, and wanted GREEN DAY to star in his advertisement thing...helped?
For all who are confused as to what this is, it is a mini movie/advertisement. Green Day is part of John Varvatos' campaign for the new collection. This is their advertisement. Short, simple, effective, and sweet. Love it and Green Day.
Come on! Iggy Pop has also been in some commercials (Black XS is the last one) and nobody complaints. Iggy is the god of punk, and if he can appear in ads, Green Day can do it too.
