This version of last night on earth was the song me & my late wife chose for our first dance on our wedding day. It has taken a long time to listen to it again since I lost her. I had tears of joy when it was played on our special day & I now have tears of joy again remembering all the good times we shared together. I have always thought this song was special & even more so now.

I’ve always liked green day. I’ve played the piano and guitar for about 15 years and always every now and then learnt one of their songs. I had genuinely NEVER heard this song up until last week, and since then I’ve played it everyday and can safely say I know it on piano and guitar. When my looper pedal is fixed, you better know I’m gonna be doing a 2 hour version live of this 😂👍🏻😭

a lot of people dont like 21stCB because they keep on comparing it to American Idiot...yes American Idiot is a good album but so is 21stCB...yes they both have similarities,,the concept,,the structure of the songs,,the length etc etc...but 21stCB could stand alone without being compared to AI...I listened to 21stCB without thinking of AI,,and I got hooked the first time...I feel like Im with Christian,Gloria and the Peacemaker throughout the whole 1 hour and 10 mins...and guess what,, I often forget that there are 18 songs in the album,,,thats how well tight the story is...listening to it feels like a journey,,just like what Ive felt with AI....
When i was 8 years old i was a huge green day fan. i was put in charge of making a playlist for my mothers wedding. I put a bunch of great songs in the middle and in the end, But for the first dance i put this song. At first my mom wasnt going to let me use a song by green day for her first dance and she wanted me to put "at last, by etta james" instead. I showed her this song, and the second she heard it she decided it was a better fit. Green Day is just plain awesome.
