I live in Spain, where mainstream radio stations hardly ever play some rock, punk rock or punk-pop, call it whatever, Green Day has been playing on "Los 40 principales", biggest mainstream radio on Spain, since the 90's, and they've been mainstream since Dookie. I'm not saying that's bad. It's bad that they use autotune, it's bad that they bitch about the music industry they use and support and do nothing about to change it. But yeah, mainstream radio festivals is where they belong now. And it's been a long time since that. Whether you like it or not.

That's just plain stupid. I would cheer them if this was GG Allin having one oportunity to go mainstream, and he got cut, but... then again, GG Allin would have taken a shit in the stage and throw it at the audience. This is how music goes. And Billie Joe is now a spoiled child of the industry.
This is one of the Cringiest Green Day concert Ive watched so far (Im still learning more Green Day) and the crowd is Fackin Terrible like they only care about their Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber, Its not that Im hating their genre but could they like ATLEAST Scream like crazy like to Power up the Vibe? Billie is Screaming his ass off trying to make the most of that precious event! They were so excited! They even said that its gonna be one of the craziest events in all their time but turns out to be a dissapointing one for them. Tough Crowd, they didnt even know that they have been playing in 32 Mothafakin years and thats how they show their gratitude *OH WAIT* my bad They didnt GIVE THEM ANY GRATITUDE. SMH
I've loved green day forever, and my respect for them just went higher. That pop crap shouldn't have taken time away from green day. Green day are legends they've been around forever. Billie had every right to get mad. Think about it this way. If you had a band, and you were cut short, how would you feel? Like Billie. Don't deny it. You would get mad, who wouldn't?

You can definitely tell this isn't a Green Day crowd. They literally had no reaction to anything they did. Billie tried so hard to get even a small reaction from them but still nothing. I probably would have walked off stage after American Idiot if I was the after seeing the insane lack of enthusiasm.

Billie Joe Armstrong hated the crowd, he absolutely hated this crowd and was doing everything he could to get them fired up. This may have contributed to his freak out at the end, but of course he was having Alcohol and Prescription Pills problems and went to rehab 2 days later.
The music alone should fire them up, tryna hype them up is fucking annoying they never did that back then. I don’t know why older bands today always do that shit it’s stupid

The crowd during Longview were shit no one cheered during the opening bass line and no one finished off the line of "when masturbations lost its fun" etc
This concert was disappointing. Ungrateful crowd, horrible sound mixing, and they cut Green Day short for more time for garbage pop music. At least the lights crew knew what they were doing.
things we've learned from this concert: 1. This isn't Reno actually, it's Las Vegas 2. The crowd was not in the mood to start a fucking war 3. It's fuck time 4. There was a disturbingly small number of Green Day fans at that concert 5. Love did not rain on Billie that night 6. You know a concert is dead when even St. Jimmy can't save it 7. Julio Cesar Chavez has got one fucking minute to fucking knock some other fucker from fucking Argentina 8.Billie has been around since 198fucking8 9. They'll be back.

+Veronica Leach This whole concert just sucked in general. There was to many different fans for to many different bands. They were silent for pretty much the whole night. When Bon Jovi was on, they did horrible. Jon was sick yes, but usually even the worst of crowds sing to Livin On A Prayer. They even did Shout during Bad Medicine and the crowd didn't react much. Seeing that Green Day did no better was sad. It was just a horrible concert event overall.
This is really hard to watch. Like you can even tell by Billies voice when he sings that he's not okay. And before this show billie was like not doing well already. And mike was like hey man are you sure you're okay! ? And billie was like yeah. Bur you know he wasn't. I feel so awful for him. But at least he went to rehab and he's doing better
He was drunk, that's all. Most of their concerts, Billie drank alot before coming out. By the time the concert is over, he would have already sweated it out and became sober. That's how energetic their concerts always are.

Shitty crowd... Shitty festival... Shitty setlist (Rihanna, Usher-.-), His voice didn't sound great in this video... Probably the sound board and all the effects they have for pop artist. The best part of this video was when he ranted about 1 minute left. That guy is awesome.
Well, it did fade out (although not COMPLETELY cut out if you listen carefully) - but I doubt it was intentional... Wireless signals are never perfect so for whatever reason the FULL signal wasn't fully making it there, so it was faded for a little while...
Green Day should have never have played at this show, mostly because they can do so much better than this. The crowd was shit too, but I loved every second of that meltdown and every outburst before that.
Well it seems Billie just cracked under pressure. Between the drugs and alcohol, the awful crowd, and and the set getting cut short without prior notice, I'm not surprised.

I understand if you didn't grow up with Dookie, but even younger millenials grew up with American Idiot. Yet, no one even knew what to say at the "is calling out to idiot America" part. That was really fucking sad to see. I can't really get into their newer stuff, but they definitely deserved far better than the crap they were put through here.

My first was Minority on International Superhits. After that I listened to Dookie (we're talking early to mid 09 here) then I listened to 21st Century when it came out. Big difference I know but I loved them both and I still do.

Everybody's commenting about Billie's meltdown but can we just credit him for his fantastic ability and dedication to engage and involve the worst and deadliest crown ever? Seriously, this man has a wild talent for crown interaction. He did everything just to make them feel the time of their lives. You can feel his frustration throughout their performance but hey, he didn't give up.

This performance has mixed opinions all over it. One: Billie Joe's voice is awful here, and is embarrassing as a Huge Fan of the band to see it this way during a performance Two: The instrumentation for this performance is perfect, probably the best i've seen for this band, rivaling Bullet in a Bible. Three: The crowd was awful, yes it was a multi-band show, and Billie's voice was bad, but they went knowing Green Day was going to be there, and they tried their hardest, with all their might just to get a reaction like they do at their normal concerts! I don't expect everyone to get enthusiastic about the band, but for God Sakes, at least 1/2 the crowd would satisfy me! show some damn respect for the greatest band of the 90's/00's era of Music. Four: Do they really think their pwecious Modern Crap posers will be around as long as Green Day did? Please, I pity those idiots.

1. the audience is absolutely horrible! I would have been jumping up and down and screaming my head off if I was there. 2. He had a right to go off. At least pretend to enjoy the other performers out of respect for them. Do what they do is not easy. 3. How the hell could he be drunk?! He played perfectly, but then again he's Billie Joe Armstrong so that probably explains why he played the guitar amazingly even if he was drunk!

At some points during the set, you could tell that his Mike and Tre were showing some concern. This rant was epic and full of truth, but I will admit it was a little bit unwarranted. Still, I love me some angry instrument smashing lol
