I was obsessed with Green Day when I was in middle school - I have a 20 year old son who got obsessed with them (coincidentally) when he was in middle school. I had never seen them live until I took my son and his friends to see them when he was a sophomore in high school. That was one of the few times I've been able to really bond with him over music and it's a memory I will cherish for the rest of my life. The show was great, and the crowd was awesome - I saw kids as young as 7 or 8, grown men and women in their 60s, and everything in between. Cool reaction, thanks for the reminder of such great memories.
Me too! I was 16 at the time and it was my first big live show, was almost a spiritual experience and was probably the best time I had during my teens.
I've only heard THIS VERSION of this SPECTACULAR ROCK OPUS about 1000 times and I STILL GET CHILLS EVERY TIME (at the end) when Billy Joe yells "HERE WE GOOOOOO" !
You're right! They started in 1987, Billie Joe just turned 50 in February and still kicks ass lol. You should check out some of the songs on Insomniac; it's my favourite album of theirs. Anyway, thanks for the reaction and I hope you have a great day/night!
I became a fan when I first heard of Brain Stew on the 1998 Godzilla soundtrack, so maybe 9 or 10 years old. I saw them live twice, AMAZING, as well as the Broadway show. I met Mike Dirnt and got his autograph as well at the House of Guitars here in Rochester, NY. Sweet guy! I'm trying really hard to see them again for their Saviors tour.
I remember listening to the American Idiot album in the car, non-stop, while driving to and from work (about 45 mins each way) for months on end when it came out. It is just SO good. :)
@@NORSEVIKING dude !.. you asked for more suggestions at the end ... you will go crazy with this two here !.. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8i5_3HpkyIs.html live woodstock 1994 ... no spoiler for you. Crazy things happening here. Or this Basket Case live in Chicago 1994. Enjoy 😀
@@NORSEVIKING Thanks. I know "my" Broadway. 😉😀 Also Mary Faber sings that part of Jesus of Suburbia as Heather and Rebecca Naomi Jones is the lead voice in 21 guns as Whatsername. Rebecca was also great Yitzhak in Hedwig. 😉 OK, I'm done with my trivia. 😀
I have no idea. HA! I have had some get completely blocked that other reactors are doing. So, maybe they didn't get to it in time to do anything? It definitely doesn't make sense to me. HA!
You're incorrect about the American Idiot Broadway show. Billie Joe was NEVER the original Saint Jimmy. He made guests appearances a few times, but thats it.
