The reason Green Day is so legendary & amazing to listen to & watch is because 1) they create amazing music & r rock visionaries & 2) & probably even more importantly is that they clearly love what they do & do every single thing in their power to put on an amazing & unforgettable show every time because they love each & every show as much as any show that they have ever done. Other bands whine while Green Day is doing encore after encore & playing everything & having fun. THEY RULE SO HARD!!!!
seriously they are one of the best performers i have ever seen! i went to their concert was i was a fan but not a "major" fan. like i didn't know much of from Nimrod insomniac and even some off of 21st century. i came back from that concert and it literally changed my life. i am a HUGE fan now of every album and i came back that night knowing i wanted to be a musician. Seriously the only thing theyre better at than being musicians is being performers!
I remember watching this back in 2012. Looking back this, it’s incredible that Billie still was able to kick ass musically despite his panic. As a kid this taught me to give it my all and keep going despite my struggles. Green Day is sort of a survival story. Love this band
Things I've noticed through watching their concert videos lately. Right before his rehab half of the time the other members look more concerned for Billie Joe on stage than they look like they're enjoying the concert. However if you watch reading in 2013 for example right after Billie Joe cleaned up they look like they're having fun again.
I watched the when it came out and didn't think anything differently about their performance. Going back now it's very evident how fucked up he was and how uncomfortable the band was. Especially, his comment "Hey Mike." I felt the tension after that.
I was there. About 2 rows from the stage. It was a great show but Billie was drunk right when they walked on. There were times where I went "What the fuck is happening", overall a great show and great set list.

I know exactly how you felt, I saw them in Vegas on that same tour , I didn't it to ever end or leave by the end I was in tears and saw the 1st band that changed my life and made want to play guitar and be who I am today. Now every time I get down on myself I always go back to that night and how in Vegas seeing Green day words can't describe what I was feeling honestly the best night of my life.
So am I.... + Holiday (the best stage dive ever) + When Sept.ends from this concert (the most emotional performance I have ever seen...)... How can anyone say they are not punk rock...
Eric Stigliano yes. For me THEY are punk, even though some of their songs may not be. In fact I do not care what they are called, I love them anyway. Just when watching Holiday from this concert I thought Oh my God if this is not punk rock, than what is! Just regret they do not have concerts in my country almost at all...
Yeah make a good point. It doesn't matter what you call them, they're still great! Sorry they don't tour in your country...hopefully they will some day.
i just love green day and its amazing songs.... billie joe is very talented :) btw are there any chances for greenday's live performance in India ? actually i am from India and want to see my band live once in my life :')
I did not like how Billie sang "Nuclear Family" it supposed to make people jump, but he distorted it playing so fast. However "Stay the Night" was just amazing!
Wtf is with people who hate their new albums?!? I mean I get its not their old sound but Billie said in the r and r hof that he just didn't want to play 3 chord punk forever. If you're a true greenday fan then you should like the olds and the news. And understand that greenday had to change not only for them selves but for what modern society wants.
I don't think Green Day actually changed themselves for the modern society, it sounded like this was something that they really wanted to do so they just went ahead and did it but I agree with you and I really love the whole vibe that these trilogy albums give off
