So here's the story in brief. First of all, Green Day had a connection to Mankato (near St. Peter) because of Billy Joe's thing with Adrienne, who was a student at Mankato State University at the time. Anyway, this show was supposed to be in Dan Fischer's backyard in North Mankato but the cops shut it down after the two opening bands (Loin Groove and My Friend Stu). So, the show was moved on a whim to Jen Frank's farm outside St. Peter. Filmed by Mark Underwood and Jen Bertrand. The stage was improvised from two large electrical spools that I assume were laying around on the property. An epic day in the Kato scene.
@@OrangeYTT I've only ever seen this version. I believe it was just one camera that was used by a couple different people but there was minor editing. That was pretty typical at shows as a way to ensure that even the person with the camcorder could let loose for a while and enjoy the show.
Apparently the show was supposed to be in Mankato, but it got moved to a farm somewhere on the outskirts of St. Peter because of noise complaints. Pretty interesting!
I was in the 7th grade in 92 listening to Nirvanas Nevermind blow my mind thinking yup this is my band forever this music is amazing.. little did I know 2 years later a poo reference album would blow it ever more and they would be my favorite band forever :)
Thanks a ton for the upload! Would you be willing to share the raw file on Mega or Google Drive? RU-vid compresses the videos, it would be great to save this in its fullest form!
No, I’m 15 so I wasn’t even around yet when this show happened. My family just happened to have this on DVD so I decided to do some enhancing and upload it.
