Tom is down the street from me and the nicest guy ever. Met him at Schector, then he moved down street from me out here in nowhere haha. Now his shop is out here and he makes such killer stuff. He made that guitar so long ago. Saw it at original owners place before he was sponsered. Steve is super nice too the nicest people ever. Its just trivia. Tom now has that new 2 bolt neck so he inovates. Thanks again, youre the best, very inspiring. Helps me get back into it.
Totally agree here Ear Training is one of the most useful and fundamental skills needed to work out songs yourself and understand how musicians create music. I guess the reason its not covered in my tutorials as yet is due to the lack of demand for these types of lessons. If i were to teach it id like to think of a more novel and engaging approach that people are more likely to use.....its something im working on
Got a message in my inbox, at first I wasn't prepared to watch it, but then I saw it was about Green Day, and thought, why not help a fellow Green Day fan out? Anyway, turns out, this video is exactly what I was searching for about a week ago when I was teaching myself the song! There wasn't any results for the search then, as it was a new song, but now there is, so thanks for making the video! You're awesome, rock on.
Dude this is a great idea in this case. I cant demonstrate it with the track due to copyright issues but i can certainly demonstrate the solo at full speed before the lesson. Thanks for the suggestion!
Thats some interesting ibanez trivia! you know tom!? awesome dude. and no problem about providing lessons. i get a real kick every time i release a new one.!
Thanks for checking me out billie joe! Every now and again you get a nugget in that inbox that can help! super thrilled you came down. See you sunday for you next lesson?
Are you looking at the closeup of the left hand? A combination of this and the sound should help you get this riff and also, as a bonus help you break away from relying on tab and improve your musicianship!
Lol i wish . im hardly rolling in it! i saved since i was 16 cleaning my schools toilets and classrooms for this guitar. Took me 2 yrs, bought it and would never sell it, trade it or give it away. Its an extremely special guitar to me. The odd dings/scrapes and sticky bits all tell a story and as im never gonna sell it i dont need to worry it adds character to it
Hey dude Greenday oh love tab? Well currently there are no accurate tab versions. Other than this video demonstration. This is the exact way to play it as in the record, many people seem to get it a little mixed up particularly in the difficult parts!
Hey man no problem at all i appreciate the comments. If there is a particular mistake you spotted then do let me know so it can be checked. Just give me a time code. for example 2:00. if your correct i can make an annotation
Im pretty sure this is correct. Do post a cover if you would like to correct. Or let me know particularly where there is a mistake so i can check it out and put an annotation for others if your right
I'm a huge fan when I say there is error there is. At the beggining notes must be repeated. I don't know how to explain you properly, I'm french I don't speak fluently. I'll post a cover when the clip will be appeared. And I'm not here to criticize, only to correct. Greeting
