Honestly, apart from the American "R's", this is the best rendition I've heard. It's not often that you hear a tone so pure and delicate with this song (people have a tendency to either go way too "opera " or really thin and breathy). Also, the acting interpretation is great as well. That's always how I think it should be performed. Bravo!
This is a really lovely rendition of "Green Finch". I've never understood how some directors cut this number on the premise that it's extraneous and therefore expendable. It's epitomizes Joanna and serves as the perfect introduction to her character. There would be something very very wrong in this world indeed if NYU (of all institutions) botched a production of this Sondheim masterpiece.
Johanna is supposed to be incredibly beautiful and an ingenue in looks...and this woman simply doesn't cut it...not vocally or looks. You plebes need to check out Sara Rice, the original Johanna. And I'm a GRADUATE of NYU Tisch School of the Art's Acting Program. lol
@@martinkalk8256 lol Aw...sorry; are you military? If so, eww, and please do use the preferred "plebe." Thanks ever so. :) PS If you're her friend, or you ARE her, you've my deepest sympathy.
@@LillyBunnyBoo she's absolutely gorgeous. the fact that you judge someone's appearance yet won't show your face tells me just everything about you. Everyone has listened to sara rice, stop being a purist.
@@LillyBunnyBoo bruh i don’t even know her??? you’re just extremely rude and disrespectful. like she’s probably in her 20s by now, i’m sixteen and live in ohio.
