Green Hawks RC takes you back in time!
Before we had brushless and lipos we had brushed motors and Nicads, and before we had combustion engines we had steam power!
In this video Taylor and Moo moo proudly demonstrate their latest models to their collection!
Two marvellous pieces of steam powered, fully functioning vintage scale steam engines.
Quite remarkable how these models propel themselves under their own 'steam' without a battery or motor in sight!

Cheers Mark..... This one was all Taylors work. I honestly don't think that it would be too hard to set up radio gear in one these, I would love to see it have a go around the Tescos figure of eight circuit! Cheers for stopping by matey. 😊 👍 👍 👍

I have seen various static steam engines but never one that was an operational, moving thing! Well other than the crazy crawler Scale Builders guild made! Very cool, My grandfather had a small steam engine he let me play with a few times, I always enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing it!!

Hey Addam! Yes mate, they are a wonderful piece of engineering..... so simple, unyet so refined. I believe these were very popular with our fathers/grandfather's generations before the microchip revolution that we grew up in! I can't help but wonder about fitting a steering servo/mechanics, and a receiver..... how cool would one of these look around the figure of eight circuit?! Cheers for watching bud. 😊 👍 👍 👍

Awesome model, I like that they pu a generator on it, too. For the stationary there's a lot of stuff to add.

Hello Dirk! Yes mate, they are a great example of superb German engineering! Taylor suggested that they may have been made quite close to you? Regarding the stationary one, I believe Moo moo is intending on buying more fairground models to run off of it in the future. I have a could of these little steam engines that were given to me, maybe one day I will get them out of the boxes and showcase them here if people are interested. The age of steam!

@@greenhawksrc6806 We got told of in one of the Tamiya Facebook groups for posting a video about the Lunchbox junior, they said it was a static model, I argued back that if it is a static model, why does it move. They never replied
