Watched this as Im toying with the idea of green laning in Spain.... Im from the UK and was looking to get into it before I moved over here. I looked at bikes having previously ownned a Yamaha DT125 and also Suzuki Jimnys as they were also in my budget if I decided on 4 wheels rather than 2. The other good thing Ive taken from this video is how good these Dusters really are, my Dads talking about getting one and its nice to know they are very capable should you find yourself on a tricky narrow track (theres plenty here in Spain). Great video and that last lane was brutal for a standard car, the Duster did really well and you also did great driving down that.
What a great , and unusual way to enjoy the Shropshire countryside. Some of the terrain looks and is demanding for the Duster, which seems to cope well. Are their opportunities for passengers (contribution to fuel) ?
Opportunities as in what way? you want to come along? They are great for towing although I have a towbar I don't have anything to tow yet! Look for duster towing videos online, A woman on our FB page got one on our advice and is happily towing a horse box with HORSE!
That was so impressive. Was that really a bog standard Duster? Any special bits? BTW can you share the access point for that trail? Duster or Defender ... Duster or Defender..........?
Cool vid. More than what our Stepway could handle though, but I'd love to try a route like in a more suitable vehicle. Are you planning to cover routes going the opposite way too? Out of noseyness are you still as standard or have you swapped tyre to all terrains etc
+MrNineCherries as standard, I will be moving to AT's later this year, but I wanted to show other duster drivers what you can do in it straight out of the factory. I have done both ways before but I'm pile driving to get videos and so do many routes in a day making only one pass... I'm on hiatus now until late june, need my car to be clean and drivable for my holiday! Check out my 'liked' videos from other members of our group though!
Dacia Duster Explorers UK wow! I would bet you would have added skid plates, lift kit and AT tires! Still can't believe this is the stock car! I hope Dacia is sponsoring you guys! You are a live advertisement and maybe your videos one of the key reasons I am ordering mine :). Thank you from Greece!
Yeah, the traffics really low here if I remember this was filmed in the week and you may see upto 2 or more cars a day and generally they always head downhill as it links to other routes.
NIC4X4 CAM I've only damaged the car twice due to rushing both have been hitting gate posts! Check out the time I took my friend in his Duster down here... We've been down a few times now ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jd2mHngxsyo.html
front wheel drive? My dad has a sandero and we looked at the duster and realised the 4x4 model was 6 grand more it was only slightly bigger inside we passed on it, insane how they can sell a car for 6 grand and then sell a car based on the same chassis for almost 3x the amount... 3x for 4wd and more headroom...
Generally it's FWD if its only in 2WD mode but in 4x4 it's obviously All Wheel Drive (AWD) I've just checked the Dacia Website 4WD is +£2k not +£6k it would of been much more for the diesel over the petrol but I can't compare that at the moment as they do not sell at 4x4 diesel at the moment
Dacia Duster Explorers UK I think the one we looked at was a diesel, looking at the prices now we looked at a standard fwd petrol compared to a 4wd diesel
+Nickolas MacLeod They are historical rights of way all over our country I.e. footpaths, bridleways and roads, they have been used for hundreds of years in particular these roads are have been superseded by nearby roads that are paved, your never far from an alternative road with a tarmacked surface that links the route up. but they remain public, not in private hands. They provide us with some challenging road conditions for our 4x4's
Q!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is missing a key bit of protection that only comes with the 4x4 to protect sump and has a different type of suspension, so yes it may do it but the risks are very high you could come out the other side with a permanently damaged car!
Do you think the 4x2 would handle driving through fields just regular flat fields in the winter that are boggy from the rain I don't think I would be going through road as rough as you where I go hunting here in Ireland sometimes it's a pain having to walk through the fields but im afaid to drive my duster in just in case I get stuck in the field 😂😂
Q!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Grass is slippy as hell, some types of grass and mud is very difficult in even the 4x4, I nearly got stuck in a grass field that was wet I had to crawl along at about 2mph because I couldn't get any speed up without slipping
Rumour has it, that the idea came from the fact as it sped across a dusty road it swirled the dust up into the air and so that's how it got the name 'Duster' as it sweeps the dust off the road...
