Ingredients for Sabut Green Moong Dal
Whole Green Moong dal (साबुत हरी मूंग) - 3/4 cup
Desi Ghee (घी) - 1 tbsp
Green Chilli (हरी मिर्च) - 2
Cumin seeds (जीरा)- 1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder (हल्दी पाउडर ) - 1/2 tsp
1 piece grated ginger- 1 tsp
Garam masala (गरम मसाला )- 1/2 tsp
Black pepper (काली मिर्च ) - 1/2 tsp
Salt (नमक) - 1/2 tsp
Onions (प्याज) -2
Tomatoes (टमाटर) -2
How to make Sabut Green Moong dal
* Take green moong dal , washed, cleaned and soaked in water for 10-15 minutes.
*After that for preparing tadka take a cooker add 1 tbsp ghee, jeera , chopped green chillies and ginger to it.
* After that add 2 chopped onions to it and Saute well.
* After the onions become light brown in color add chopped tomatoes to it and Saute till it leaves ghee from it.
*Meanwhile add salt and turmeric .
* Add water and dal and keep it for 2-3 sitti and sim the gas for 10-15 minutes.
*After the cooker releases its pressure mix the dal and add black peeper and garam masala to it.
*Tempting sabut green moong dal is ready. Take out the dal in the bowl garnish with some green coriander pour some ghee too. Green moong dal can be served with chapati, paratha, naan or rice.
