Check out these cool graphics! The bright green and cool design sure caught my attention as it drove past (the video footage doesn't do the colours justice). Is this a new company starting up in town which will collect garden waste?
UPDATE: Week of 19 Feb 2024, the Green NZ LTD website became live. They are offering a once every 4 week collection service of green waste. Either by providing 240 litre wheelie bin or a large 660 litre sack. They are covering a massive area down the lower west coast of the North Island of New Zealand. From Wellington up to Wanganui. There website and business directory listing has indicated that this service might be based out of my hometown which would make sense being the centre of these multiple districts this service will cover. This also means I might get a chance to film this truck out in service.

Sadly I cannot tell you much about this truck or company. It has only just hit the road based upon its online service logs. The website printed on the side of the truck (at time of writing) does not work. And nothing seems to come up online through web searches for this company, nor is there a Facebook presents. Investigating business registries has not turned up anything specific either; there are so many business names with "Green NZ Limited" in their name.
So whether we will see this truck driving around my local streets, or if it was simply transiting to another town, time will tell.
What I can tell you about this truck is it was imported from Japan into New Zealand in mid-2022 and has not moved until November 2023. The body is a 2012 Isuzu Forward (F Series) and was imported with 175,071 already on the odometer. Also noted is the compactor body, a little different to the usual rear loaders with the very low loading point which is rather close to the ground. This would be ideal for loading heavy green waste bags into. Most rear loaders I've filmed have a very high loading point, partly due to bin lifts/flippers being attached and for safety reasons.

Thank you. As I mentioned, looks much better in person. Hopefully one day I might see it and be able to film it in person.

That’ll be a Shinmaywa compactor. They seem to be very popular here!

Nice, thank you for that. It is cool to know and find out the different names and manufactures of the components.
