Thing is ... none of the Springbok RWC2019 squad were born in different countries and then assimilated into SA for rugby purposes - they were all born in SA (except neighbouring Zimbabwe) - SA don't recruit Pacific Islanders; Fijians; Samoans; Tongans etc - No sir, we rather "export" our players because we have such an abundance of them ... *IN FACT* there were 14 South Africans playing for teams other than the Springboks in RWC2019 - www.news24.com/sport/Rugby/RugbyWorldCup2019/sa-well-represented-at-rwc-with-14-non-bok-players-20190912 Unfortunately, ENG, NZ, AUS etc all have "imported" players? Says a lot for SA rugby, don't you think?
What did you guys expect with the brand of rugby the Springboks play? Obviously the NZ game would be more entertaining because of the style of rugby they play
SA players have been forced to sit on the couch for half the year, NZ players have been able to play and they're just better known for their expansive style of play.
@@steventheron1165 NZ's "expansive style" has become a thing of the past even before RWC 2019. Teams have fine tuned the rush defense and negated that offensive. Thats how the Poms booted them out of contention. Time for a new strategy.
SA's style is less witty, nor is it that entertaining. The only SA teams that played fancy-entertaining rugby were the springbok teams of 2007 and 1999 world cups. Despite SA's style being boring and one-dimensional, it works when the team is well polished and when the team has brilliant players who give their all on the field; that's why they won the World Cup last year. This proves that there's more than one way to win a game of rugby; it's foolish to disqualify the quality of a team that doesn't play the style of rugby you perceive to be the 'best' or 'most entertaining'. Also; If you look at both lineups you'll notice that most of the World Cup-winning squad is overseas [at least 70%]; this showdown has a lot of second team players, young players [lots u21s] and sevens players. One can't compare this to the North vs South of New Zealand.
NZ played the N v S after at least something resembling a season, Most of the Green&Gold players only had 1 game last week in the highveld - Some of these players have never even met before this week which I doubt was the case in NZ SA easily has over 20 class players overseas that was not considered for selection not counting injuries but yeah not the pretties game...
@@RioGamer tell that to the pR0fEsSioNAl premier league champs losing 7-2 to Aston Villa. Any team sport will suffer harder than an individual due to social distancing. That's why a decent school 1st team that has played together for 5 years have every chance of besting a national school side if they have only been together for a week.

It was Great to See how Young Players get Oppertunities.Coaches should be More Focused on Quick Changes during Games instead of Over Tired Players.Kick Over Poles is Vital Important and Should be Kick Correct.Well Done Green and Gold u where Both Winners.
Agreed. The little I saw, he has a level head and eager workmates The 9 from Green and Pinkle? (Winger) did well too. Ox has to be a more regular Bok call up now as well.
@@dustinmccrindle343 Yip. The 9 is Sanele Nohamba and the Wing is Yaw Penxe. Penxe is really good but with the depth we have at wing I don't know if he'll break into the Springbok squad
@@dissectingsport6243 I agree re our options at wing. How would you rate our fly half options? After Pollard and Jantjies, I'm not sure who else has wat it takes, especially at international level.
@@dustinmccrindle343 I also think we are a bit thin at 10. I think Bosch has the potential to be a good flyhalf given two or three years experience and backing. Willemse I am not so sure of. I think he fits in more at 12/15. I rate Wolhuter a lot and Manie Libbok also shows great potential. Luckily Pollard is only 26 and I think Jantjies can still make it to the next World Cup (he'll be 33) so we have some time to develop another 10.
Chill mate first game back for some, they need to keep playing at least twice every five days for the next 4 weeks than they’ll be right to come down for the championship. Some the forwards not really looking fit though😂
@@diggyzeus186 These fans are delusional. Poor rugby education still haunts our public. Some are actually trying to compare this with N v S a game that took place 10 weeks after SRA with plenty of time to prepare. These are the same guys that complained in 2018/2019 about Rassie's plans.
The rugby public in SA are very uneducated on the news. These guys are clearly playing under instruction for a reason. A "tight" game like this will be far more helpful for the coaches and the players than a baabaas game.
Dian Smit why can’t you just answer normally without the uncalled for “Do you watch rugby?” comment. It was a simple enough question, they could’ve played in jerseys similar to the Aussies and no-one would have been confused.
@@gerrardruthven5115 Because its the springboks evwryone knows we wear white as away jersyes and we are known for green and gold or white and gold its just a simple thing that anyone who watches rugby know
Maybe every South African... also it wasn’t a Home Away game. I’m sure they did it to save money rather than a one-off batch if gold ones, all I’m saying Saula might be new to rugby so being nice doesn’t hurt.
Actually guys I do watch rugby, I was just hoping to see an amazing golden jersey Design from SA! Saving money could be an ideal explanation though...I was just hoping that the Jersey's could go with the team names.
These guys are behind in match fitness why rush to get fit your probably won’t be ready for the championship should just shut it down and wait till nek year. Not worth it they’ll smashed if they don’t get at least 6 weeks prep in New Zealand. Than after 6 weeks at least 2-3 weeks in springboks camp.
This is the World Champs?. Seriously?. The Kiwi equivalent to what the Africans are trying is in a completely different league. NZ are in a different league still. Not underestimating Springboks, but on these performances and also their recent Super Rugby performances, how are they World Champs?. I mean good on them, but like England in 2004 after they won the World Cup, the Springboks I expect will lose that rank 1 back to NZ within the next 12 months and if the Springboks go North, lol, against France, Ireland, Wales and England, sheesh, SA will lose more than they think. So they need to make up their minds where they are going and just get on with it and stop whining. Might be World Champs, but the rest of the World is carrying on without you if you have noticed?.
I'm glad I didn't get to watch this game.Yes is second game of season so what point was served by kicking penalties. We still way behind NZ but they at least have perfect rugby players from Fiji Tonga and Samoa to draw on.
😂 😂 South african sport is boring without fans!!! The fans are the one who make the difference! This looked like a practice/scout session! It's not a showcase!!
This game was boring as hell 🤣 yes I'm a kiwi, no I don't care you guy's are world champions and yes we miss you guy's just a little bit lol. I hope your players are keeping fit and healthy so when your guy's covid restrictions reduce you can get back out their and show the world why you're world champions. Much love to you guy's..........But seriously this game was pretty shit 🤣 Aussie super rugby was more entertaining 🤣
That is the dumbest thing I have ever seen. A bunch of guys who practice rugby together, passing, tackling, mauling, scrumming....not exactly social distancing stuff. Yet they have to sit on the bench wearing a face mask🤯🤯🤯. If that's the level of intelligence involved in coaching our boks, then we are f....ked!!!
You noticed they havent trauned shit nor played so maybe wake up why do you think they played this. They have abosuletly no experience with each other nor training
Wowwwwwww How hard the Springbok have fallen..... It's a bloody disgrace.... Rather call them Impis and Vellies. But this was kak rugby. If you can call that rugby.
It was a fucking awful game, yes. But saying SA rugby has fallen is a bit ridiculous. We won the WC a year ago, these teams were missing plenty of first choice players and they haven't played in 6 months.
If you look at both lineups you'll notice that most of the World Cup-winning squad is overseas [at least 70%]; this showdown has a lot of second team players, young players [lots u21s] and sevens players.
My word are you delusional. SA won a world cup, an SA team was top of the table in SR before covid, SA had also won the RC in the previous year, Blitz bokke were 2nd before covid, Junior Springboks finished 3rd (while regularly beating the junior blacks). These guys are clearly playing under instruction to go to the RC or to simulate a test like scenario. My word after 6 months of no rugby and 2 training sessions together what did you expect?? Get a grip man.
I hope and believe in this time if you got a bad day in office to realise all of us are human being and deserve to make faults because there you will learn out of your mistakes to take your game yo another level. Where is the mercy on them first heros now nothing shame on you if it was your son who was playing i think not that you will critize them . Get your house in order please and trust those around you no matter what and great things will happen
