The monthly fee is equal to what my Wireless phone company would charge for 2 insurance policies on phones, or what An identity theft policy would cost. Everything else is gravy. I don't see a downside.

Do not use this card. They lied about the daily transfer amount and locked my childs card when I sent her out for her birthday to the mall. I had to drive to the mall and give her a credit card. The GL call center hungvup on me and I was on hold for 20 min before they answered the second call. Then they wanted my wifes drivers license innorder to turn the card back on for my daughter. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for a real debit card.

When you assign a chore does your kid just check the chore off and instantly get paid? Does this lead to conflict of you don’t see the chore done well after they are already paid?

I with this was around 8-10 years ago, or if it was I wish I would have known about it! My kids are now in their 20’s but this would have been a great learning tool when they where in their early/mid teens!! Great video and explanation!

Yes that’s great but they also need to learn how cash works also, and needs to be responsible with cash too. You can buy or do everything with a debit card sometimes cash is needed, it’s parts of life

Yes, but for children as young as 14 or under aren’t allowed to have a debit card, that is because they need a bank account.

Looking for all those adults that are thinking about opening up a checking account at the bank in their own name, that's tied to their credit score, just to give a debit card to a 10 year old. Just pay the $5 for a green light card. Trust me it's worth it!

Even asked for the President’s contact info and they lied and said they were trying to get it and they didn’t give it to me, left me on hold and never came back to the phone. Customer service is the worst. Having trouble canceling too. ANYBODY EVERYBODY if you’re thinking about getting the Greenlight card for your kid, DON’T! It’s a trap. This company garbage and needs to be reported.

No spending limits but sometimes big trans are blocked for security purposes since GL card are meant for kids
