Greenpath is one of my favorite areas in the game, Great performance, I need to replay this game! If you plan on doing more hollow knight pieces, look into "Pale court" it's featured in the DLC!

Here's something I noticed when trying to learn this piece... The rolls that they indicate (on page 1, e.g., measure 20) were not actually played this way on the record. You can hear that the LEFT HAND is actually out of time to make that quick leap on the record, whereas the sheet music (and how you played it) show that you should make the leap with the right hand. Using the left hand allows the ostinato to continue a bit more smoothly to keep the rhythmic foundation of the piece. The arrangements in this collection are nice (just got mine - most of these are FAR about my skill level), but it is kind of frustrating at times that even the person hired to perfect and perform these pieces played them differently than how they were written. This is also my first foray with sheet music that's written based on voicings rather than broken into left and right hand. It took me a long time to figure out, for instance, that the melody in measure 18 should be played with the left hand (exactly how you did it). All kinds of left hand treble clef stuff that could have been written in the right hand, but I guess the focus was more on communicating the meaning behind the notes, rather than just how to play them. Very interesting, kind of looking forward to parsing through it with that in mind.

Thanks for this small insight I actually am learning this from the same sheet and questioning my own gut decision of doing these parts with the left hand, because I thought that was easier and sounded like the audio rendition of it. I'm not reassured that I'm not completely wrong ^^

Having played quite a few pieces in the collection, I find myself making that sort of decision quite often. If the performer works out a more convenient and, ultimately, better-sounding way of delivering the notes than indicated, it should not be disregarded, especially in the context of an arrangement such as this (meaning liberties are already being taken in comparaison to the source material). It is likely that the arranger fully endorsed these minor adjustments, as pictures in the score book show him overseeing the pianist's work in the studio. I would guess maybe the engraving was already finished at the time of the recording and that's why not everything is reflected in the sheet music.
