I decided to take apart my Toro Greensmaster 1000 this winter and clean it up really well and give it an awesome paint job. I want to paint it a unique color. There are lots of red mowers out there. I want mine to stand out. I also plant to put a new bed knife and new 8 blade reel on it. An 8 blade reel is supposed to be better for "higher" heights of cut. Golf courses use 11 and 14 blade reels on the greens mowers that they use to cut the grass every day down to 0.2" or so. Homeowner grass rarely gets cut daily, and an 8 blade reel is better for this type of schedule and heights of cut closer to 0.5" - 0.75" or so.
Also in this video, I use the Toro Greensmaster 3100 to mow my back yard golf course, Sweet Oak Hallow. We played a little golf with my father in law who was in town for Christmas and Left Tool put together a teaser trailer for our series that will begin airing soon called LT TURF. Hope you enjoy!
