Greenteck says that's not popping, but when he came to the scene the shit was doing wasn't exactly " Popping ", he made his own style and everyone loved him for it. So, it's quite hypocritical to say that about MT Pop when truthfully he has so much foundation, but just makes that shit his own style. Greenteck hasn't had good opinions about dance in so many years so it aint too too deep to feed into his stupidity
I don't know man. I think Greenteck can have an opinion on it because in his G-style days he did the same thing as MT POP does today. I'm not saying your opinion isn't one to be said but Greenteck is correct. Popping has to sort of represent the dance steps and styles of the founders. Yes you can add your own flavor to popping but at the end of the day you got to do the moves that founded the popping scene. Now it all makes sense why Greenteck was not going to give what Larry or the Les Twins a pass. Green's on a different level in the dance game where he's going to continue with true foundation and not what the fans think is cool. Because really, fans come and go but the foundation of the hip hop culture is forever.

@@burrybondz225 clearly you don't watch freestyle rap battles because every freestyle rap battler has written rounds. Literally all of them...I watch freestyle rap battles. They all spend weeks researching and preparing their rounds, they come into the battles with pre-written stuff. Half the time you see them looking on their phones in between rounds memorizing their bars. That's how they freestyle rap they gotta get dirt and info on their opponents and they write it down. It's all off the head, basically all rap freestyles you see on the radio shows too that's all pre-written freestyles. Very few rappers do real freestyle.

MT pop has learned every style in popping and has some of the strongest popping foundation, in terms of foundation MT pop is light years ahead of greenteck. Strutting, tutting, animation, etc..MT Pop has stronger foundation. Not hating on Greenteck or anyone, but you gotta give MT pop respect and you can't say that ain't popping he is legit. And everything MT Pop does is to the music and he's dancing with it, some will say the music and dancing are the 2 most important things and MT Pop still does both. It's popping nobody can say it isn't.
@@GrowingDownUnder I think there is too much video out there of MT Pop to say it's choregraphed. He's done numerous 7 to smoke battles and a couple battles that were 5 rounds. There is video of some of his practices and workshop. Choreographed or not, his musicality is always on point. I recall Slim Boogie doing an interview on Metal's Palace. Slim Boogie said that when he started, some people in the scene were hating on him for basically the same exact reason.

since when using moves in a freestyle battle called choreography lol? mtpop got some moves but atleast hes not using the same ones all the time, like Diablo (which greenteck hyped when he battle with him...) mtpop had really developed creativity and we all got a lot to learn from him i love green, hes sick as fuck and my fav popper, but if he dont agree with me, like he said, "i dun give a fuuuuck"

they're different bro, they got the soul, the funk within their style no matter it animation, boppin or EB. You dont know MT Pop, yes he trained super hard but most of the training session just about setting up combos and tricks which is just cool and amazing but he lack of the "soul" when it come to funk tracks u can see it more clearly in his movements

to the comments below... like Greenteck or not, the popping world needs him. He is elevating and evolving the scene by starting conversations and firing people up. Anyone remember how Slick Dogg sounded during the whole Boog VS G-style wars? It was childish and steeped with drama, but it evolved popping in a highly satisfactory way.

I can understand Green's perspective. He put in the time to mesh his moves flawlessly in freestyle and to see other poppers come in with routines must be cringey. I've even seen Greenteck dance along with his opponents because he's seen them do their rehearsals beforehand. Hilarious when you really think about it.
Dancing is all about routines. What is dance practice about? Routine. What is dance foundation about? Routine. People relate to Popping dance because of it's notorious routine dance steps and movements. We all can acknowledge that even Greenteck has routines. He has a strong Popping foundation which is formed from practice routines and training with OG's.
MT POP is a great dancer but th knowledge Greenteck is expressing is not wrong and holds a lot of ground to the foundation of popping. Greenteck's G-style days are what MT POP is doing now. Which now I understand why Greenteck went to learn an actual style of popping that resonates with the founders of this particular hip hop culture. #morethanafan
His words really remind me of Hoan. Before Hoan said he wanted to retired from the competitive scene and enjoy dancing like in 2015 he was really creative and undeatable. My pop got many eye candies tricks , which is really entertaining for a dance showcase , or reels video , just not appropriate for a popping battle , especially when compare to Jaygee
