Greenworks 15-Inch Corded String Trimmer Review & How To Use 

how do you advance the string?

I have this trimmer and want to like it, the perfect size and weight for my small yard. But the damn line just does not advance. I have to stop every ten feet or so to pull out more line. And it’s not just me - saw a neighbor using this trimmer and he complained about the same thing. I may end up going back to my heavy, smelly, but reliable gas trimmer.

How do you get the string to extend when it gets worn down?

The problem with the chainsaw was? The bar wasn't deep enough to hold the chain in MAKING IT USLESS

By the way I was comparing between this and a Black & Decker model that cost about $15 more it also has a wheel for edging, the difference is that it has a 6.5 amp motor but it only has string coming out of one side of the trimmer instead of two like this one. I believe two is probably a little better but the other one has more power. But being that my old Green Works model only had 4 Amps I’m hoping 5.5 is enough of an upgrade, this one also has a wider cutting area of 15 inches instead of the old 13 inch like my older model.

Thanks for making this video, I was having trouble finding a video review of this model, until I found yours. I had a previous GreenWorks model and it did not have the wheel, so you would use that clip as your guide for edging and eventually the clip fell off from popping it up and down and I lost it somewhere and wasn’t able to find it so the edger was basically ineffective, this wheel looks like a good fix. My only slight concern is that the string advances when you turn it off every time. Thanks again.
