In this review video, I will put a lithium powered string trimmer from GreenWorks to the test. This unit comes with a 2.0Ah battery and charger and is backed by a 4 year warranty on the trimmer and 2 year warranty on the battery. Greenworks is an up and coming player in the lawn tools market with their full line of lithium powered lawn tools.

I bought a 80 volt kobalt 2yrs ago. It is awesome. I hated all of my gas trimmers. I liked it so much I got the blower and chainsaw too.

Nice! I want to get my hands on a 80V Greenworks but for now I will stick to 60V as that is the more popular choice for most people.

I also had the same issue with the bump and string. It's like playing slots - sometimes you win, and sometimes you don't! ;)

I love the trimmer but do not like how difficult it is to get the battery out of the charger. I have no other issues with it and it does well.

Yeah they are kinda sticky and stiff when you first use them. But they do slightly ease up after some use. But sometimes it can be annoying to get them out for sure!

I'm really new to doing my own yard. I have 2 trimmers now. One electric corded one that seemed a good idea at the time! And one that's pretty old I can't move the head around but it does have two batteries. A neighbor put it in a way that every time I use it (even with jeans on), I get all banged up by the debris. So I love my Greenworks Mower & my Greenworks blower both that have 60 Volt batteries that are interchangeable. The Mower is 5 but the blower is 2.5. Is the 2.0 also interchangeable?? Thanks for the laughs on the poor guy you videoed trying to start the gas trimmer!!

60 volt batt would generate enough power to do the job. I bought a B&D Lithium weed eater, and it was terrible.

I'm vested in Ryobi so I have their 18v trimmer. Let me just say that the ease of just pushing a button to whack some weeds is awesome. I went electric just because the gassers are such a pain! Any price is worth the switch folks!
