Last month I purchased this same mower (with a pair of 4 amp batteries, extra blade and charger) at Tractor Supply for $399. I love this machine. My lot is a bit over a 1/2 acre covered with luscious Zoysia grass. Although the mower carries both batteries, one provides ample power to complete the yard. It is lightweight, easy to maneuver, instant start and just a lovely machine. The only "negative" is minor, but I found when needing to pull the mower backwards, it is best to simply lift the rear wheels slightly off the ground, then roll it back on the front wheels. Other than that, I am very happy with the mower and shall be looking at other GREENWORKS equipment to purchase.
My son gave one, mine is 60 volt and not self propelled, love the way it cuts, it’s light and very easy to use on a hill and goes through high grass better than my Lawn-boy which ain’t the mower they use to be . Not sure how big my yard is, but it mowed it all and my yard is all hill. Probably will get and additional battery this winter, but I’m really surprised how much I liked it!!!
I just bought one from tractor supply a month ago. It’s not self propelled either. So far I’m pleased with it. It cuts through very tough grass and weeds with no problems
Got the self-propelled version with 2 4amp batteries, charger, and extra blade. Very happy with it. I've a 1/2 acre yard with a lot of trees and objects to maneuver around. It takes around 1.5 hrs to mow it and there is still usually 2 bars of battery life left at the end. Good stuff. Durable, solid, clever designs-including the one-handle height adjustment-a marvel of simplicity. It boasts a long battery life, something like 1000 cycle/charges. Guess we'll see. My advice to the poster is to just leave the back mulch plug in. This thing does an amazing job at mulching even foot-high grass to invisible bits.
Hey It’s good to hear opinions on this subject. The company makes like several different versions and amp rated batteries. I worked in a shop that sold pro and commercial Greenworks Products. They also have riders and commercial stand ups. These products are also in high demand. I think the company is over extending themselves with sales orders they can’t handle. Excellent video. I’m looking to get the updated 21” and or 25” commercial models.
The motor already senses the grass thickness and kicks in the turbo mode automatically. I think the turbo button is for sucking up leaves in the fall. 👍🏼
I have I think the same mower, 60volt, 21 inch deck. I have had it for two seasons. I have 1/3 acre, use a 5.0 MAh, 4.0MAh battery pair that probably uses 2/3 of available juice between the pair to get it mowed. Got it because gas lawn equipment, especially 2 stroke, but even 4 stroke are very dirty with few if any emission controls. Anyway, it works pretty well. My main complaint is that it just doesn't have the lifting power of a gas mower and if you have thick lawn, like after fertilizer, rain, etc, it often looks like the grass is pushed over rather than cut in a lot of areas. May be due to blade design which I think is more for mulching than lift. I guess this is the future and I'm ok with that, but it's not quite as good a cut as a gas mower. I use turbo 100% of the time. Only way to get decent cut on my lawn.
I have the same mower I love it mow pretty big yard and it will cut high grass better then my 5.5hp gas mower I have even cut tall wet grass to no problem I think it’s just built good
Good video, say edit your video title to " Greenworks 60v pro " so you get more views.. I just cut 9" of mix of weeds and grass at night with mulch plug in, side discharge closed.. Wow .. quiet, bright leds at night and cut beautifully with no bog down... And I was shocked at how quiet it is...
I bought this mower a couple weeks ago and have used it twice and I can say that it lacks power of a gas mower hands down. The side discharge is almost non existent after removing the mulching attachment and putting the side discharge chute on it leaves clumps of grass instead of discharging from the side because there is not enough power (with full battery charge) to blow the grass out from the mower. Same thing when using the bag it cant throw the grass into the bag not enough power. the blade seem to run slowly and i have to go back over spots of grass several times. It will eventually get the job done however, the mower IS TERRIBLY UNDER POWERED
