Bought this March, (2020) from my local dealer. Its now July, (2020) I can say it’s an ok mower. Love how quiet it operates, and is way better than any gas mower I’ve ever owned. But greenworks should have spent a little extra time in designing the drive system. One side has stopped working, it’s a little difficult to operate with only one wheel drive now. Looks like this “commercial” mower only has consumer grade drive components. It has been rather difficult for me and my local dealer to get any parts from greenworks, could be outside forces at this point in time. Really expected this to last longer with it claiming to be of commercial grade.
Hey That’s an issue I would not want. I know in a let’s say Honda self propelled unit. You are able to take the drive assembly apart and ad oil. Your back in service. Other brands you need to install new drive assembly. Not sure what type of drive assembly this has or if it’s a serviceable.
I had the Cramer version of this mower exactly the same 82LM51S, the differential failed after a few months so it would only go in straight lines, after a wait of 6 months they got the replacement part. Changed the drive assembly for it only to fail again after a couple of months. Then they finally replaced the mower with the new model 82LM51SX, on which they have updated the drive system. It now a plastic housing around the differential instead of a metal one as in the example above. So far after 8 months it's still working not sure if that the same case for the Greenworks model.
