I had the pleasure of this man's company one Sunday afternoon in Paperinos in Byres Road before it closed, when our sons were both toddler's. I was with my wife, Greg was just with his boy but I was too polite to ask for a photo together much to my regret. He couldn't have been nicer and there was a balance to be had regarding allowing him a chance to eat in peace and that of being sat at the neighbouring table to a comedy hero who was friendly and talkative towards us. This was a great interview Si and the Open Goal guys have done with him. His vivid description of feeling the heat generated from the laughter of the audience was quite remarkable. I wish I'd known about those Whisky Signing Day's before now. I'd have gone to one of those.

When Greg mentioned Amsterdam, you could tell Si was debating bringing up Slaney’s infamous trip 😄

What a buzz of a watch that was man. Buckled all the way through at Big Greg’s patter and no one filling his glass when he was choking for more of his own whisky…😂 Tremendous as per boys. 💚

It took 10-15mins, but I'm glad Slaney eventually calmed down and let Greg actually answer the questions he was asking him.

Met Greg at a charity do once, he was surprisingly down to earth and VERY funny.

Loved this and I said Greg and ford n co have made me laugh on many a down day but I want to give thanks and credit to si, Kevin, slaney , Andy halliday(Christ I couldn’t imagine saying that a few years back 😂) and the others who’ve appeared occasionally for such a great show and so many laughs. I don’t care what ppl say or how he speak etc Si ferry I salute you mate , you’ve really done some amazing things in the last few years and I genuinely think you will go higher and higher in your managerial career. Thoroughly enjoyed this one! I use to sit and watch them filming still game where i stayed as a kid and Greg always had time to stop and talk to all the boys great guy.

What a legend Greg is. I always find it amazing when you hear an actors real voice , it’s like he’s very well woken compared to victor , Gregor fisher as rab c is the craziest one as the actual man Greg fisher is so polite and very well spoken. I honestly can say greg and ford n co have got me through many a bad day and made me laugh

What a great sport Greg was. Can’t fault Slaney’s enthusiasm as he’s clearly a big fan with utmost respect for Greg and his work. Slaney still seems a bit disappointed with the episode featuring Ford; would be great if they could make another appearance together (I reckon it would make his day).
