Brady fans r so sensitive to making any criticism of Brady. I'm talking about physical tools, not accomplishments. If u were holding a draft, forget histories. Just a draft and they were both in it. Every owner, scout, and GM, would take Rodgers. But it's not personal. Patriot fans make it personal. But I like Brady's leadership qualities over Rodgers. Elway is more physically gifted them Joe Montana, but like Brady, rings triumph physical tools.

@@HpArtcraft and Rodger's still has better stats that Brady and Rodger's has much more talent. Brady will more than likley be the most decorated QB in football, but Rodger's will always be the most talented. Not sure why Skip brings up the defense constantly in this case since we are talking about the two individual players. Skip has to bring excuses why Brady doesn't have more playoff wins or Super Bowls because he knows he can't argue that Brady is a better thrower of the football. Also hasn't Rodger's proven that he can be clutch? Could Brady throw the amount of game winning hail marrys Rodgers has? No, it has been proven Brady can't. Not only can Rodger's get it there, but get it there accurately so his guys have a chance to catch it AND make sure that only his guy has a chance to catch it. If we are going to talk about defenses though. How many top 10 defenses has Rodgers had? 1 during the superbowl winning year, and 1 I think last year. Brady has had a ton of top 10 defenses.

@jwomackandcheese73 4 года назад
@@dosalmasjd5886 so Rodgers having the best touchdown to interception ratio doesn't help win games? Being the number one quarterback in the league in not turning over the ball doesn't help win games? Literally leading the Packers to nearly 10 seasons in the playoffs means nothing? For the most part those seasons were won on the arm of Rodgers. Only having a top ten defense once in his career, and they one the Super Bowl. McCarthy became predictable as a play caller. The Packers organization wasted Rodgers talent. Rodgers has won plenty of games, I'm assuming what you mean are Super Bowls. Yes football is all about winning, but it is a team game. Everyone needs to do their part and if you lack talent I'm areas makes it hard to win. Like when most od the defenses Rodgers have gave up 30+ points I'm the playoffs, nothing to do with Rodgers right? Rodgers and the offense would average 27 points a game, but the offense couldn't get stops. Fact of the matter is, Rodgers is a better thrower of the football on the field and on paper. Win colum has nothing to do with individual talent, but the team as a whole. Doesn't get into the nuance of each playe or coaching staff. If you need to say "Well wins are what matters" it means you don't have a counter to the numbers, because there aren't any.
@MichaelSwg
@MichaelSwg 6 лет назад
What people don't understand about Brady's physical traits is what they can't see without a trained film-watching eye. His release time getting the ball of out his hands and his ability to scan a football field for the best receiving option is ridiculously fast and how he prevents himself from getting hit, sacked, and fumbling. His footwork and pocket awareness is probably some of the most impressive in NFL history. His accuracy is amazing, he can't throw the farthest (although he still has a great deep ball) and he isn't as accurate as say, Drew Brees, but he places the ball in the right spot so consistent that there's a reason he has one of the best TD-INT ratios despite playing for so long. It's also why when you go back and watch some of his 4th quarter comeback drives, you actually rarely see big plays, Brady consistently moves the chains with short-intermediate passes because he hits his receivers so accurately. Everyone knows how he's so good mentally, whether it be decision making or his leadership, but it takes someone who really knows football to understand just how good Brady is physically too.
@MichaelSwg
@MichaelSwg 6 лет назад
As a follow up, even though we all know for a fact that Brady is more accomplished you actually can't even argue that Rodgers is undeniably more talented than Brady at QB. Rodgers might have more overall better physical attributes, but what Rodgers doesn't have over Brady is a lot of the mental aspects of the game which is what is important to what makes a QB great. People look at the Brady vs. Rodgers debate the same way they would look at a RB vs. RB or Dline vs. Dline debate in the sense that they compare the physicality of the each player like who's bigger, who's faster, who can run/tackle/throw better, but they overlook the mental aspects of what separates these players at the highest level.
@CSmoothh
@CSmoothh 6 лет назад
If we are talking about talent and ability then there are many qbs better than Brady. But Brady plays the position the best. Ex. Since Brady knows he can't scramble as well as other qbs he puts more emphasis on check downs, timing, pocket mobility, hot routes, throwing the ball away, etc. That 5 or 10 yd plus that another qb can get with his legs Brady gets that same result with knowing his protection, being mobile in the pocket and checking down to that slot or rb who can get those yds better than he could. The results are the same; forward progress, 1st down, touchdown or If all else fails and Brady throws it away he'll live to see another play. Brady does these things better than any qb in the game. Execution is the name of the game. There are many wide revivers in the history of the NFL that are faster, quicker, and stronger than Jerry Rice but none of them executed the position at the level he did. That simple

Similar to how even NFL quarterbacks say Dan Marino was the best passer of all time, but he lacked in other areas and wasn't able to use that ability to achieve as much as he could have if he had the mind of Tom Brady. Imagine Tom with Dan Marino's passing and Michael Vick's mobility; he would literally be a human cheat code.

Well one thing Brady is much better than is keeping the game competitive when he isn't playing with the lead. In games they trailed by any amount at any point in the game: Brady: 109-65 (0.626), including 15-10 (0.600) in the playoffs Rodgers: 48-55 (0.466), including 6-7 (0.462) in the playoffs When trailing at halftime Brady: 36-37 (0.493), including 5-6 (0.455) in the playoffs Rodgers: 15-38 (0.283), including 1-6 (0.143) in the playoffs (When tied at the half Brady is 17-6 (0.739) while Rodgers is 2-7 (0.222)) When trailing to start the 4th quarter Brady: 30-47 (0.390), including 6-7 (0.462) in the playoffs Rodgers: 10-41 (0.196), including 1-5 (0.167) in the playoffs (When tied to start the 4th Brady is 12-2 (0.857) while Rodgers is 4-3 (0.571)) When trailing at any point in the 4th quarter/OT Brady: 42-65 (0.393), including 8-10 (0.444) in the playoffs Rodgers: 12-55 (0.179), including 1-7 (0.125) in the playoffs So Brady keeps his team in most games while Rodgers loses most of the time if he ever falls behind. Looking a little closer at how bad they are losing the games. When they trail by 10+ points at any point in the game: Brady: 31-46 (0.403), including 6-6 (0.500) in the playoffs Rodgers: 8-35 (0.186), including 1-4 (0.200) in the playoffs When they trail by 14+ points: Brady: 10-31 (0.244), including 2-5 (0.286) in the playoffs Rodgers: 6-22 (0.214), including 0-4 in the playoffs When trailing by 20+ points Brady: 4-16 (0.200), including 1-2 (0.333) in the playoffs (We of course know what that 1 game was...) Rodgers: 1-11 (0.083) including 0-3 in the playoffs Now for those 10+ numbers include the bigger deficits too so let’s isolate the non-blowout games: Trailing by 10-13 points at some point in the game Brady: 21-15 (0.583), including 4-1 (0.800) in the playoffs Rodgers: 2-13 (0.133), including 1-0 in the playoffs (hey Rodgers stepped it up in the playoffs!!!!) Brady is better across the board but specifically if you get up 10-13 points, but never more than that, on Brady he still wins over 58% of the time while if you get up 10 on Rodgers you can pretty much check off the win in pen since he only comes back 13% of the time.

Greg is making the classic mistake of assuming the sum of Aaron's individual parts are greater than the whole of Tom. Just because you can do a broader variety of things does NOT mean that you are an overall better player. Some people - like Brady - can often get more done with fewer skills because they can better optimize those fewer skills AND because they have fewer talents they may be better and more likely to make the most of the talents and resources of others.
@thegoodtomking2804
@thegoodtomking2804 6 лет назад
Except Brady doesn't get more done than Rodgers does in the first place. #1 QB rating of all time = Rodgers #1 TD:INT ratio of all time = Rodgers #1 fastest to 300 TDs of all time = Rodgers #1 lowest interception percentage of all time = Rodgers Better in the regular season = Rodgers Better in the playoffs = Rodgers Aaron Rodgers is the better overall QB. Oh, and he can run too.
@blackurustrikes2328
@blackurustrikes2328 6 лет назад
Jebediah Springfield - Again, is the sum of all of the Aaron Rogers stats you cite greater the whole result of Tom Brady? What those stats you cite cannot say is whether you're making the RIGHT decisions at the most IMPORTANT times. Nor does any of those stats measure how your play and personality and presence impact others players, during games, in practice, etc. Is Rogers statistically a better player than his predecessor Bret Farve? Maybe. But I would wager Bret had higher regard amongst his teammates and opponents than Aaron.

I find it funny how many people who hate on Rodgers don't even know how to spell his name correctly. If they're not even paying attention to how to spell his name, then of course they're not paying enough attention to his game. It's also funny how these same people act like Brady somehow wills and inspires his teams to wins when the evidence is contrary to that as well. In fact ever since Belichick took over and rebuilt the Patriots, they've gone 14-6 when forced to be without Brady. That's a .700, playoff caliber record with Brady missing. Even when Brady isn't there they just keep on winning. In fact, no great QB of the modern age has proved to mean less to his team in winning games than Tom Brady has. Now let's take a look at what happens to the Packers when forced to be without Rodgers. They basically turn into the Browns, going 5-14-1, a .250 record. So who has proved to be more important in inspiring and willing his team to win? Aaron Rodgers, hands down.

Jebediah Springfield - I find it funny that you think spelling is a major concern in the RU-vid comment section. And how many games, play off games did Bellicheck (sue me for the mispelling) win PRIOR to Brady? He was on his way to being FIRED by New England before Brady took over. Also, how would Bellicheck been able to staff that team if Brady wasn't taking deep pay cuts? Brady's willingness to go along with the program has allowed Bellicheck to Lord over the Patriots and make that coach appear to be better than he actually is.

It is when you're talking Hall of Famers and misspelling their names 3 times in a row. Brett Favre and Rodgers should be _easy_ names to spell for football fans who have actually watched them closely. It's on their jersey. You can see it on most plays when they're on the field. It's in the news when you read about them. It's not like how to spell their first and last names is some type of mystery. For educated football fans, it's second nature...not something you misspell 3 times in a row. Even Australian Ruby player and RU-vidr Jacob McDonald knew how to spell Favre's name correctly and he's literally brand new to the game. Get with it bud. Not only do you need to figure out how to spell Hall of Famers names correctly, you need to check your coaching history. Bill Belichick had never been a GM and HC with complete control until he was hired by the Patriots. He never got to build a team how he wanted to until he was hired by the Patriots. Then the very first chance he got, he knocked it out of the park. Bill Belichick not only guided the Patriots out of the cap trouble that they were in, he replaced Pro Bowler Drew Bledsoe at QB with an even better one, while building a staunch defense that won them Super Bowls. If you had paid any attention, you'd have also known that Tom Brady has actually counted millions more against the cap than Aaron Rodgers has ever since Rodgers started. Contrary to your claim, Rodgers has cost less for his team than Brady. It's not the cap space that's making the difference bud. QB cap hit doesn't matter when you're Bill Belichick and can build far better teams for less money than virtually any Coach/GM in history. Including recently demoted former Packers GM Ted Thompson.

By your logic, then Eli Manning and Nick Foles is better than Brady. Brady didn't win a those games by himself. His team did. Rodgers had worse teams than Brady has. Superbowls are won by teams not by QBs. Explain how the Patriots defense did so well preventing the falcons from scoring the last two quarters when the Packers defense didn't. Can't blame those games on Rodgers. Also this is a argument about who's the better QB. Rodgers is way more talented than Brady. His QB ratio and how he plays is way better than Brady has. If Rodgers had the team that Brady has, he would have won all the Superbowl that Brady had won plus the ones Brady lost.

There's literally nothing he can't do. If Brady had played on any other team, he would not even be remembered. I also believe that Peyton Manning was a better quarterback than Brady. Brady simply played on a better coached, and more talented team. If the Patriots had lost Brady due to injuries the same way the Colts lost Manning, the Patriots would have still been a .500 or above team for the season. When the Colts lost Manning due to injuries, it was a total wrap for the season. I think they won 1 or 2 games that year.

Brady played in a tougher era his first 5 seasons where they could actually play defense. Rodgers also got to sit for 3 years instead of one. He was primed to be posting great numbers from day 1 and that's why all the Rodgers fans throw QB rating and TD ratio and treat it like it's gold instead of the actual standard and goal of the game.... To win. Here is Brady from 2007 to now (he didn't play 2008.) Here is Rodgers from 2008 (didn't play 07) to now. Brady threw for 44,519 yards 341 TDs 82 INTs, 65.1 completeion percentage and a record of 125-31 as a starter during that time frame. 15-8 playoff record with 2 superbowl championships. Rodgers in that time frame had 38,502 yards 313 TDs 78 INTs 65.1 completion percentage and 94-48 as a starter. 9-7 playoff record with 1 superbowl. Brady teams score 28.3 per game the highest mark ever. Rodgers is at 27.5, Manning 27.2. In conclusion all the numbers individual or team based favor Brady just won an MVP at 40 years old. Rodgers will be lucky to even make it that long.

925 Sports Tom Brady dragged the rotting carcass of an injury riddled offence and the 31st worse defense to the Superbowl. Let's see Rodgers do that.

Rizzoli Careyoli I mean you're right LBJs team did suck on defense this year, but he is part to blame for that. It's not Rodgers fault when the defense plays poorly. Lebron was also in control of his team in CLE and joined a superteam in Miami.

Funny how people say Aaron Rodgers has had bad defenses when they’ve ignored his terrible playoff performances. 2011 15-1 record No. 1 seed in NFC In Week 13, the Packers went to Rutherford Stadium to play the Giants, where the Pack won 38-35 thanks to A-Rod’s 4 TD’s Divisional round against the Giants Completely implodes at home against one of the worst Super Bowl winning teams, turning the ball over twice and getting trounced out of Lambeau 37-20 2014 12-4 record, No. 2 seed in NFC This is where the whole argument about giving Aaron Rodgers a good defense is completely moot. In the NFC Championship game up in Seattle, the Packers defense forces 5 TURNOVERS. 5. Guess how many points A-Rod came up with on those turnovers. 6. REALLY? NOT EVEN A TOUCHDOWN!!! 2 field goals, 2 punts, and a turnover. Absolutely disgraceful performance as he threw 2 picks and put up a horrendous 55.8 passer rating as the Pack choked against Seattle. 2016 10-6 record In Week 8, the Packers went to Atlanta. They barely lost, but not because of A-Rod, who threw 4 TD’s on the day. Fast forward to the NFC Championship game, the Pack return to Atlanta, only to get blown out of the stadium 44-21. A-Rod was absolutely terrible in the first half, throwing a bad interception and his only touchdowns on the day came in garbage time when the Pack were getting blown out. Rodgers can be the greatest regular season QB, not the best QB because of his putrid playoff performances.

You're just proving my point more. If they had won against Seattle it would never be because of Rodgers, it would be the great defense the Pack played against Russell Wilson, which forced 5 turnovers from the Seahawks. Thanks!

Why leave out Brady's bad playoff games though? Just because Rodgers' has had bad playoff games (like most quarterbacks do) doesn't mean he isn't as good. Brady has had underwhelming or bad playoff games as well

Let's ask ourselves two things. Could Rodgers pull off a 25-3 comeback in the Superbowl or could he put up 505 yards against a talented eagles defense? If so then he is the better quarterback but being that this is a league of (What have you done for me lately) I highly doubt he's better than Drew Brees at this moment.

@@dr.shrimppuertorico1232 Looked like they kept playing to me. They didn't just lay down for The Patriots. Even if they did, why would they do that with such a massive lead? If you get a lead like that and can't close it, you're just not the better team. If you're the qb on the losing team and you can keep it together and lead your team to take the W in that scenario, what other conversation are there to have? We aren't talking about talent, we're talking about the greatest. TB12 is the GOAT.

Even as a fan of a team who lost to him in the SB, I’m taking Brady. Rodgers is great moving out of the pocket but I think Brady is better moving with in the pocket to extend plays in a less flashy way. His performances against the legion of boom in the 4th quarter was magnificent, his 2nd half against ATL was just ridiculous and by all accounts Brady is a better leader which accounts for something. You can say Rodgers has better numbers all time but Brady was more of a game manager when he came into the league so his numbers won’t stand out as much. You can say Rodgers was never a game manager so that makes him better, but Rodgers wasn’t even playing when got drafted. GB worked with him a lot when he was young to help make him the QB he is now.

Eternal Thread Super Bowls do measure a QB’s ability it’s the main reason why for a while joe Montana was considered the goat. Either way Brady has had a better individual career than Aaron rodgers, maybe Aaron is more talented than Brady but Brady is the more skilled 🤷🏾‍♂️ and he has all the records to prove it

This is not even newsworthy, you think Greg Jennings is actually going to say Tom Brady is better than the QB he played the majority of his career with? That's like asking Jerry Rice if Montana's better than Jeff Hostetler. Well maybe that's a bad comparison, lol, but still C'mon man!

Absolute BS, without Tom Brady the Pats are a 9 win team with a first round elimination on the playoffs. Without Aaron Rodgers the Packers did basically the same last year, except they lost the wild card game with Rogers on the field. I love both but I take Brady every time.

Really...??? The QB"s that have replaced Shady have gone 15-5... GB with AR out is 4-9-1... you are clueless....Shady without 10 sec to throw is no better than Daq Prescott.. a mediocre QB at best....go back and watch his NYG super bowls... He looked terrible. WHY ...? No time to throw...He can't improvise or make a play outside the pocket. Take away his defense, Kicker, and TE....he has NO RINGS...!~

Easy for arod to be clutch if he had a better defense. Do you think Brady gets the ball back by himself especially enough times to make a comeback
