Yep, I loved tuning into the masters. What 3 hours of fluff and self promotion just so you can watch the last 3 groups play their round. It’s just one massive circle jerk centered around a handful of players the broadcasters get moist over.
@@BillBarr4President .. You mean focusing on the leaders? If you honestly don't get how the Masters has been such a successful and iconic sporting event for about 90 years now then there's really nothing to say to you.
I dunno. It seems to me that the LPGA is in a pretty good place. World wide popularity, no lack of sponsors and fields composed of players from countries (more or less) all over the globe. The girls are doing just fine.
He was the all time leading money winner before Tiger Woods & ranked #1 in the world for a long time, He deserved a lot a more than the tour gave him 😑
What, like Rory $200m from Taylor made. Win lose or draw. They are PROFESSIONAL. that means they play for money. All of them. This way more guys can get rich, not just the chosen few.
Prostituted the game for money, couldnt achieve his goal, so partnered with whom he disagreed, and now he wants the tour to change in his favor. PGA should have never partnered with selfish withdrawers
Yes agree this is all business and money minded nothing to do with the love off golf. They and the pga should of asked what the fans want and also the players because personally a lot of pga players who have sacrificed themselves being skint to become bigger and better in the tournaments are going to be playing along side some kid who hasn’t earned there spot earning millions, personally think it’s wrong. That’s my opinion anyways.
PGA won't be able to compete with the golf product that LIVE will be. Monahan knew this was always going to happen but pawned the players into resisting so he and the upper echelons of the tour could negotiate more money for themselves. what they should have done is partner with LIV, loaned the players out, and ask for a decent cut of revenue.
Well LIV hasnt actually made money so theres that.. just buying players isnt a return on investment. Reason why the merger has to happen, PIF needs a solid investment and thats PGA, not creating a bootleg league.
Golf followers on the whole are people of integrity, reluctant to deal with poor morals and ethical standards. We don’t associate great golfers with their wealth. Such a shame a number of the defectors presented this image but have neglected to distance themselves from the disgusting source of the money behind LIV golf.
LIV GOLF IN CONJUNCTION WITH THIS Foreigner have ruined televised golf. I’ll continue to play, but I’m done watching PGA tour now is boring as hell and Liv. Golf is a joke.
Blood money being spent on dominating World sports? Live Boxing is now out of reach of true fans, World titles fights are are now being held in Saudi Arabia with locals and celebrities being the audience, Football is their next project, older players being paid to play in their leagues, but it won't be long before they target the younger players, Golf just throw money at it, initially it was has beens, now with Rahm it's the top 20 players being targeted, they are simply demolishing world sport for their own gains. What's next, hosting the World Cup and targeting other sports.
I'm reminded of back in the 1980s-90s when government subsidized steel companies dumped their product onto the market at less than the cost of production in a premeditated strategy to corner the market.
Greg can't be honest because he was wrong about the PGA not banning liv players and them getting owgr because they were owed. It should have been Norman and Mickelson those players sued instead of PGA,
@@Tigerwoods663 what does the pga offer to anyone outside of the US. They play over 75% of their tournaments in the US and then travel to the likes of Mexico, Bermuda and Dominican Republic for the rest. It might come as a massive shock to you but there is a golfing world outside of North America.
So, how are the good liv players and there are a few, going to relate their lifetime records to the players of years past? They won't be able to as I see it. Comparing three rounds to four is moot, it cannot be done. These guys have simply been bought for the circus.
Haha so many butt hurt complainers in the comments. Every professional in every industry is after as much money as they can make. Greg Norman motivated millions of people to take up golf and brought thousands of spectators to watch PGA events during his reign. Deserves his money and success.
Is that why his restaurant in Myrtle Beach sucks! Because he’s the best businessman? Or is why his terrorist buddies from Saudi are letting his lying ass go
@@BeastMode-xl7rz Arnold had great businessmen running his name. Greg runs his show and is the most successful ex golfer businessman in golf history. Much bigger than even Jack. Tigers handlers are best by far, Tiger not much of a businessman
You have drawn some conclusions and it just occurred to me. I’m watching the PGA tour event today in the desert, and I was thinking of myself there’s no way shape or form that live golf will ever survive regardless of their talent pool. The essence of our game is strokeplay. There’s no room for a team format, except in certain situations like the writer cup, etc. with Greg Norman running the show at live and the Saudi money I guess it the final analysis it doesn’t matter to me how many players defect it’s almost like the USFL trying to watch that format it’s just untenable the PGA tour will survive. The PGA tour will prevailand live golf is going to be a Flash and the Pan
Greg Norman is expected to announce his latest and boldest venture to date. His new golf course will be called Sana'a Sands Yemen. The entire country will be turned into the golfing experience of a lifetime. This brings a whole new meaning to "shooting a few holes before lunch". Pushing the envelope in sports with his Saudi masters.
That is the most asinine statement I’ve ever heard.Greg Norman and and the LIV players just increased the amount of money in professional golf by hundreds of millions of dollars. He and Michelson have been unjustly vilified for simply destroying the PGA tours and foolish Monahan’s monopoly and oppressive rule of professional golf.Have you not wondered where Monahan all of a sudden comes up with double the prize money only after threatened by LIV golf.Where was that before. The pga players will realize that LIV golf was their best Ally.
He’s not out. Clearly, you cannot read the soon to be merged operating conditions. Pay attention. Oh…and Phil will be around for another 10 years plus. Long swings last!!
@@lemdecrem1061 Sso you think ,without LIV ,Monahan would have drastically increased the players pool of prize money just because he’s a nice guy.How naive of you.
Nothings funnier than LIV fans last year saying the PGA was a monopoly and needed to be broken up! And now, LIV, the PGA, and DP are merging and this isn't a bigger monopoly than before?? Help me understand the stupid LIV golf fans brain?
@@michaellawrence7957 Let me guess, as you defend the PGA, you actually believed they cared about morality, and were gonna stand by the players that stood by them. The PGA could have easily avoided all of this, by simply taking better care of their players, and giving them more of a say in the direction of its future. Seems like they got the message now though...huh?
Livvz not in any merger. Livvz CEO, Chair & Commish, Rumayyan, is investing in DP & US Tour merge for 2025 onwards. Livv loses over $60 mill. per show and is a poor golf model ( which is copied from Premier Golf Leagues 2019 website plan ) and Norman isnt even listed in the Livv company as court case found in Nov. '22. The merge doesnt need Norman for marketting spin as its been awful & deliberately dishonest. Livv wanted to take over US golf, it failed, and its 94% investor putting $$ into real golf after '24.
He’s speaking business but my opinion will ruin the sport. Golf is amazing and it’s sounds like it’s just going down the money route. Money money money. Think they need to leave the pga alone and do there own thing. So many players have sacrificed there career to become a pga player and there is other players we don’t even know on the LIV who have just walked into it from a few golf college degree’s🙈 as a golfing fan am disappointed the way it’s going not saying am right because it could be better but the way it is and what am hearing it’s nothing to do with golf but more to do with investing and earning more money. Just like these world class footballers with these stupid contracts now. Sports is becoming more political.
That's the shark in his retirement home. He chose not to wear a blanky to keep warm. btw there is no off-ramp of substance just a pile of cars smashed into a dead-end.
Absolutely he is legendary. Greg is the man, and so is Phil. Growing up i was a Tiger fanatic. Obsessed with tiger. Now i dont even like em and id rather phil win. How things change
“I’m not going to disclose it.” You lose all credibility with a ridiculous statement like that. We’re not talking about the crisis in the Middle East for chrissake. We’re talking about wealthy men who hit golf balls for a living. Tells us what your plan is.
