The Dreamspeakers International Indigenous Film Festival is using the tagline “Where We Tell the Story” for the 2024 festival which runs April 26 - May 6. More than forty films and events are planned, and one of the films is Lii Michif Niiyanaan - We Are Métis directed by Gregory Coyes and Madeleine Ell.
This documentary peers into the diaspora of Métis people in Canada, and the stories of resilience and passion shared for preserving a way of life. Filmmaker Gregory Coyes will join Tony King on Traffic Jams at 5:45pm Tuesday afternoon.
This arts and culture story is brought to you in part by Calgary Foundation, which has nurtured a healthy and vibrant community since 1955.
