I appreciate the support so much! That’s awesome you have some Gretsch guitars! Mine has the secured pinned bridge also, thankfully. The intonation bridge saddles are the weakness on my guitar. It would be cool to shoot out the old and new pots. If I ever get my hands on a newer G5420T, I may just make that video! I’ve honestly never had any problems with the strap locks that come stock on the guitar. If you use the grolsch style, you should be able to unscrew the Gretsch strap lock, place your strap against the hole on the side, place your grolsch ring, and then screw the pin back in through the holes of the ring and your strap (hope that helps!). @@OneRayMusic Thank you, put the strap with robber locks and it seems fine. Not sure how wise it is with my skill level or perhaps it is extra home time but over last year got three streamliners - one G2622 and two same model with T. Then self-graduated to G5420TG (black) and G5657T. Love Gretsches. Learning and need much improvement but glad that practicing a lot more at least. Taking advantage of your experience, can I ask your view. Have a Marshall MG15dfx amp for about 10 years. Has remained only in my room, pretty good condition and has not been used much ! But since past 6 months whenever I started to play, after about 20 minutes the sound would go out by itself. Comes on after a few minutes by itself and then goes off. It was happening less but for a week this happens a lot more. When I take out the cable and insert it back, it works ok for about 5 minutes, and then same behavior. What do you think is the reason? Any solution or is its time for garbage. By the way, I've had a Mogami gold cable connected to it from my Boss ME80. All these years, the qtr inch cable has always remained connected to amp even in periods when I was not using it.

I’m glad the rubber strap locks worked out. I’d like to play some streamliners. I really want a G5622T-CB (Center Block with 3 Pick-ups in black). As for the Marshall, it may be as simple as needing a can of DeoxIt D5 spray to spray in the input jack to clean out dust and improve the connection. The other thing it may be is the output jack from the back of the amp into the speaker connection. It could be going bad. I bet you though it could just need a spray (the output on the Boss processor, too maybe). Hope this helps and have fun jamming!
