Dude…awesome review! I was on the fence about getting this guitar and you sold me. Gretsch owes you some commission. Been looking for a travel guitar, kinda big but it so light. The center bracing is a selling point since i really only need a gig bag for it.

My Wife got me a G2622 in Phantom Silver for Christmas and I love it. I've barely touched any of my other guitars since getting it. It's a bit neck heavy, but swapping the die cast tuners for aluminum Hipshot open gears and some metal Gretsch knobs instead of the stock plastic ones helped balance it out better.

very helpful, I play heavy rock and prefer semi hollows but most reviews of hollow bodies don't test heavy gain🎉

I know this is a couple of years old, but thanks for doing it. I would like a semi-hollow and I'm leaning this way rather than an ultra cheap Firefly

Great investment of my time. Question: If this axe is made for all types, why are the fret markers missing past the 17th fret? Do you need them for advanced lead or not? Kind of puts me off to the design planning.

Dude, VERY NICE playing! Can you tell me if you think high gain is doable on this guitar? I am selling my les paul, because I don't like the feel of it and now I am between this one and a Telecaster Deluxe (with 2 humbuckers). I understand the sound is different between them, I am simply interested if this can handle high gain, for example something like "Are you gonna go my way" by Kravitz, or to go to the extreme something like "Ghosts along the Mississippi" or "Dog tired" by Down (dropped tunings)... I would really appreciate a response. Keep on doing what your doing!

Cameron , have you noticed the stop tail leaning forward? I talked to one guy who said it couldnt handle 0.10 - 0.46 ..haha , he returned the guitar

I have been trying to figure out what I want or should I say afford, and this Gretsch G2622 or the G2420 same semi hollow center block both for around $400 US to me are the best deals now a Squier 1972 Telecaster thinline is right there with these two. Ironically all three are semi-hollow and have great PUP's Broad-Trons are sweet the Tele has actual Fender Wide range humbuckers which same premise as these broadtrons- Rock jazz blues etc. the Gretsch' though are so nice looking though- great video!!!

Hey do you know if it’s possible to install a bigsby vibrato bar on this guitar? The gretsch g2622t has one but unfortunately not in this color. But i wanted to know if it’s possible to add that vibrato bar on the guitar. Great demo btw 👍🏻

What amps or pedals did you use? Great sound btw.

So this is probably a dumb question but I'm looking at a few different gutars. I'm wondering should I get this gutars or the Ibanez Artcore As73g. Or is there a guitar that beats both of these. My budget is 500 bucks later down the road I'll get a better guitar but to start out with I was wondering.

I got the jackpot on one off these and I have the high end ones to compare to as well if.your not sure strum these once you stretch your strings and tune it perfectly bell like chime to the max too good for the price I got it for I also bought a 2215 as well could not be happier fit an finish kicked it out the park woe be tide if Gretsch and Epiphone ever get together with the top quality both are releasing now

the guitar is great...i bought one. don't bother trying to get the case. I've been waiting for it for 4 months...parent company Fender isn't any help either Updated : After over 4 months, I finally received the matching case. It's ok but not worth the money. The guitar has been a pleasure to play. I got locking tuners and that's all I'm planning to do with it. I got the Phantom Silver color and it is incredibly beautiful. However, I have no idea why there's only the tortoise shell pickguard. Gretsch could offer replacements and if they did, I'd get the black and white celluloid!

I'm a shorter guy at 5'4". I've really wanted to buy a 335 but I don't know if it's 'too big' for me. I play acoustic guitar with comfort but that's obviously a different ball game. Just looking for any opinions really, I could opt for the 339 but I've always preferred both the look and sound of a 335! Any advice?
