"What you think, Dave?" I think the wait was absolutely worth it, and not because my name is Dave as well, no, because the whole album is great. You can hear the hard work and how much love they put into it just to honor a good friend, we all miss him painfully. This album is my cure, these wounds will never heal, but it will be bearable. Chester's singing, hearing his words was first time I felt there was a guardian angel for me when I was ever at my lowest. Even in death he is still there saying "I've been where you are, I've felt this pain" in a way no person on this earth could possibly resonate better. And every time with new music througout the years, he reminds me that I can relate and everything doesnt have to be all on me.

"it came from the deepest sea" this is how far down he was as in depression and the pain and wanting to die..."god give it life and reason to be"... "it" is Chester and his extreme talent and what it gave him to live a bit longer. "losing in the end"...in the end it doesn't really matter. To me Chester wrote most of Linkin Park lyrics he was the only one with the actual pain, but he was that full of love and kindness he credited everyone with what he wrote.

This looks like more philosophical song, than song about the depression or a wish to die. "God give it life and reasons to be" is a positive string.

In fact, Mike wrote in the end. I always try to find connection and references in Linkin Park songs but most lyrics part of their first 2 albums was Mike. Also instrumental parts. But Chester made the Guitar Intro from "Somewhere I belong" as an example. He is the singer and gives the lyrics life and that is why we loved him cuz no matter who created the songs he was the one that determines them. "In the end" give the greatest chills at the end of the song cuz Chester sings it so amazing. What me most hunts here is "what you think Dave?" After that performance, he really asked someone else what he thinks... Chester was such a modest guy

The fact that I will never get to show my future generations of this gem of a man I have had in my childhood, hurts me over and over again. Maybe I'll see you in another life in heaven, where we'll never say goodbye, Chester. :') The "losing" echo is haunting like ..... I cannot explain. RIP Chester. I'll never forget my FIRST LP concert, omg what a night. And RIP Krishna, my BFF who went with me and died a year later in a car accident. I miss the past. And I miss old friends.

You're not alone, words can't describe how much Chester's music has helped me from Linkin Park, to Dead By Sunrise, to now the rerecorded album we're listening to now, to songs he was featured in. It was all relatable and I knew even though he was famous he was facing the same Mental Illnesses as me, and other shit too, and at times at my lowest the music he helped create could pull me back from the edge and feel less alone, I may not have known him personally but I still miss him a lot. He was pretty much my Idol growing up.

I listen to Chester everyday , he did so much and it's all here on you tube to go back and experience the the joy and sorrow of his voice and lyrics that hit you right in the soul , he inspires me he fought his way through life and kept getting up to try again , he lost his fight but I know he would want us to all carry on , so we will and we will keep you in our hearts always
