They were both great. Really missed SDCC this year as I love doing the interviews. It is always fun to see which ones invite you to come. They do not have space for everyone so it is always nice when a studio asks you to come.
Grey did a great voice for teenage pebbles flintstone when they guest starred on Johny Bavo. Maybe they should have pebbles and Bamm Bamm teens in the new reboot coming up and Grey could do betty and pebbles just like Gay Autterson did in the 70s as betty, cindy and wiggy 😆
It is a good topic to debate. I look at it like the WB DC animated films. There have been multiple people voice Batman. Many prefer one person and others like another.
@@garethjmb It's the fact that Mindy had been with the character for so long, since 2002. Her voice and characterization was recognizable as Velma, especially to fans who watched the shows and movies all the time. Plus it's how she was replaced that bothers me. Mindy was having chemo, and initially thought and told fans that it would be Kate for the Be Cool SD series, while she would still voice the character in the DTV movies. But once Kate got in there, it was a full replacement. Mindy still wanted to, expected to, could have and should have in my view been able to voice her, but it wasn't her decision. It seems that WB jumped on the opportunity to replace her. I suspect because WB thought Kate being Velma would bring in more money, since Kate is more popular. I tried to get used to it, but no, it's just not the same and ruins it for me.
It’s not like don’t understand why they were cast, sometimes you need new talent to make a new interpretation. But their performances were the worst out of everyone in that movie.
