Boarding action content is great! I think the smaller scale presents really well and it seems to be balanced enough to keep it interesting. Keep it coming!
I think this is a hit. I really find I can actually watcha whole stream in one sitting! My group really likes this format playing 3 games vs one creates a lot more oppritunity to feel like you are back in the drivers seat. Plus we've added some narrative elements that crusade has which was almost to small.
Boarding Action Patrol is 0-1 HQ, 0-3 Troops & 0-3 Elites. No Duplicated Elites, max 1 character in total. Special rules for all factions in the PDF on Warhammer-Community
@@toferkrz946 just to clarify in the Abaddon Boarding Actions book they note that there are no narrative rules but you can add your own so I find it's best to think of Boarding Actions as an alternate game mode that, just like normal sized 40k, can be narrative, competitive, or casual-faire. Also as far as I can tell there is no limit to taking multiples of the same elite datasheet aside from specified situations in each faction's mustering rules on the WarCom PDF. (EDIT: found it #4 in Mustering a Boarding Patrol of Abaddon book)
@@AnthonyGobeilleArtist That pdf is (stupidly) lacking a few of basic rules for building lists for Boarding Actions. Not being able to take multiple of the same elites choice is one of them. The other that people constantly miss is that units with a minimum size under 5 can only be taken at minimum size, and if a unit size is 5+, it can only be taken at 5 or 10. Not being able to take multiple of the same elites choice is a rule my group will definitely be ignoring in favor of fun and fluffy ideas - without ignoring that rule, you can't even do all Genestealers for a Tyranid list. and we are definitely doing all 'stealers vs. terminators!
For years for games day we ran a Space Hulk Like table and Players could bring a small Infantry force. Boarding Action corridors are slightly larger in some places but otherwise the terrain is almost identical.
Great game! Althought I'm not sure what's in the Arks of Omen: Angron book but a Bro Cap' can't take purifying flame, they know only the Dominus powers, not the Santic ones. I'm not up to date on Boarding actions rules tho
Really fun battle report! Love seeing boarding action. In grey knights turn 2, I believe only visible models can be removed so Adrian could not actually pull models off the back of the unit. As well, models cannot shoot through friendly models so the interceptors would only have had two models eligible to shoot. Still a great job with the new game mode, thanks guys! (Rematch?)
I love the boarding action game. Its not a replacement for the 2k games but its a really pleasant change of pallet as it were . I do get the feeling though that it might not be Adrien proofable :D . In a biger game he can hedge his bets against his rolls , here with so few assets it feels a bit like a few bad rolls just eat you alive and if there's one thing you can bet on , it's Adrien rolling 1s
Termies can only move 5" and can't Advance and charge and cannot charge a unit they cannot see so Why was John worried about the charge range to his Inceptors? He could have moved them forward to near the end of the wall so long as they were up against it and not beyond the edge??
If right in say that in Borading Actions you Can’t have Large Monsters , Necron Monolith , Landspeeders , eat , because they are bigger than the terrian space hulk ship walls but stand to be told differently yet ideal for creating your own narrative story themes .
