Ahoy Legends! In this weeks episode Shauno and I head out for a troll and find ourselves with both rods hooked up and losing line fast!! Our plan was to chase some wahoo but it proves a little more difficult then anticipated!! Luckily we get the job done in the end!

That's why I troll with nothing less than 400lb. test, where's your piano wire, and I always change out those cheap MFG hooks to Gamakatsu, Owner, Mustad....you're trolling cheeky Wahoo mates. Time to start fishing the 10" TO 16" plugs/skirts, like Nomads, Madmax, Yozuri, especially if they chew like this time. you still need a longer gaff strapped under the gunwale. Good to see Shauno out there as well. Good times Nice Vid. 👍

What speed are you trolling at mate? I struggle to get my divers to stay down above 7-8 knots even with outrigger holders. (Using mainly samaki divers)

My speed changes depending on the lures and conditions. I only go as fast as the lures will stay in the water 👍 just adjust to suit your spread 👍

The steel would mean the sharks stay hooked and you’d have to fight them for hours. Waste of time and effort in my opinion, easier just to cop the lure lose and tie another on and try again 👍👍

Do you think you should chase the fish with the boat?, get the boat near them get the fish in the boat faster rather than continuing on a slow troll while trying to wind a fish in, might save on a few losses to sharks. Seems like it's harder work leaving the boat in gear

A lot of the time we stay in gear to keep other lines straight and also to keep moving the fish out of the area. If you stop and fight them on top of the reef, a lot of time they get sharked faster 😔

Hey mate, just so you know RU-vid puts the ads in not me. The only say we get is how many ad breaks they can have. In this 27min video there is 3 ad breaks. This is considerably less then regular free to air TV and all goes towards keeping the boats on the water and making more of these videos for you guys. Appreciate the feedback though 🍻🍻

Hey mate, awesome video. Just a quick one after a hook up you always keep the boat in gear and keep moving forward for a while before going back to neutral, whys that ???

Keeps the line tight and under pressure while you clear the other lines. Helps prevent shaking hooks 👌

Love you two together. Great chemistry. Thee BEST fishing show we have ever seen.I mentioned the following on an earlier video. Sharks can smell blood in the water for a considerable distance. Bleeding fish while trolling would leave quite a trail for them to follow.
