~Backstory~
While Rina and Grian did grow up pretty close to one another, despite being separated for the majority of their childhoods after their mother’s passing and their father not wanting anything to do with either of them.
Rina was sent away to live with her mother’s family in America where she grew up with a fair amount of wealth (after most of her childhood being spent with the bare minimum) she still missed her brother dearly. She unfortunately had no way of contacting him. When the duo split Grian didn’t have enough money for a phone, in fact he never got one until he left Yandere just so he could keep in contact with a few old friends. Rina on the other hand was given one more or less as soon as she was fully settled in with her Aunt and Grandparents (her mother’s sister was never in a relationship nor did she have children of her own). Since Rina knew no-one the only numbers she kept in it were her Aunt’s and the house phone number.
Through most of Rina’s early years (she was around 6-7 when her mother died) she was homeschooled as her Aunt wasn’t sure how she’d cope with going to a public school in a completely new place that she wasn’t familiar with. However, on her twelfth (12th) birthday she was asked if she’s like to go to a public school of her choice and make friends or even a private school so she could specialise more in something she wanted to pursue as a career as well as her typical studies (maths, english and the sciences [physics, chemistry and biology]). Initially she opted to go to just a normal public school but she struggled to fit in. She started in the middle of the school year, friendship groups were already established and despite having money so she could have everything she’d ever need no-one seemed to give her a second glance. She was alone.
One day she tried speaking to various different groups to see if anyone would let her join them but the “popular” kids thought she wasn’t rich enough or up to their high beauty standards, after all she was just an ordinary elf, nothing special. The more “nerdy” group didn’t want to have her around as they thought she was “too rich” so they assumed that she would be more of a brat and wouldn’t care about her studies or be as dedicated as them to revising and working. The art group said they prefer to keep their group small, the book club was full, the sports teams mocked her for wanting to do something athletic saying “she’s too girly! Careful you might break a fingernail!!”.
She quit.
Dropped out.
She’d had enough of people.
No-one wanted her, even her own family left her.
She was pushed away to the ‘second class’ side of the family, while it wasn’t her mothers fault she was ill, her father clearly didn’t want her and her brother was thousands of miles away with no address or phone number to contact him with so he was dead in her eyes.
Eventually, (at 15 years old) she signed up to a music based school, just to see how it would go. She passed the entrance exam with ease. She… made friends? Yep! She’d found her own little friend group, started her own little band. Things were finally looking up for her. When she finished that school at seventeen (17) she started a singing career and was eventually scouted by several agencies. After a long debate she eventually took an offer.
She created her stage name Ariana (the name was similar to hers but not the same to keep her two lives separate) Griandé (inspired by her own brothers name, she knew, deep down, that he wouldn’t abandon her. Not after years of protecting her, she knew he must’ve had his reasoning for not keeping in contact all these years.)

Hope you’re doing well and aunty has been kind to you, unlike father and we can meet and catch up properly soon.
