My personal favorite would be Grid 2. Although Grid is in my opinion the best combination of fun arcade-y driving with certain sim elements and rules. Great franchise!
Good video but I want to say there *is* a 1st person view for Grid 2; it's a community mod that Codemasters liked as I heard. It gives you 1st person cockpit view at the cost of harder AI drivers.
It's no longer available for purchase on the xbox marketplace for some reason I think it's due to licencing rights and I don't know where to find a digital code of it
Grid 2 was My favorite racing Game whit other racing Game that i don't remember i think it's buur or needs For speed shift the only two parts i remember of that games is a part of a red Bulls car drift in a mini aircraft island and the other was on a normal circut whit a huge ball like a observatory whit plants on it or i'm just crazy and a normal race whit a black saleen and i always hit a yellow Corvette does grid or need For speed shift 2 players do You guys remember any of those things i said from any racing Game??
Something felt off with GRID 2019 with me compared to the previous entires and I think it's how coloring and lighting. Race Driver GRID, had a rough, down and dirty aesthetic with how they did the colors and in that they made the game feel very atmospheric, like this is racing in it's roughest most serious form and that was one of the ways that made the first GRID so memorable and even iconic. GRID 2 emphasizes the glitz and glamor of motorsport, as such the colors feel much more vibrant and the lighting feels more dynamic especially during the night races where your blasting through cities like Chicago and Paris. The colors and lighting feel exciting and alive making each race feel like this big event that everyone's tuning into which was helped by the amount of track detail that goes on in the background such as the fireworks and such. GRID Autosport feels like a little of both. The colors are still vibrant but the lighting feels more neutral and not as over the top as GRID 2 and it was meant to capture a more general motorsport aesthetic but still feels colorful and vibrant as GRID 2 but adds a little bit of that rough tone from the first GRID. GRID 2019 the colors feel way too washed out with high exposure and contrast. It feels rushed and the color and lighting feels like it's trying to capture that feeling of the first three games all rolled into one, but honestly dropped the ball with it and oftentimes It just doesn't know what tone it wants take. Some tracks with certain tones do look good, but still have that high exposure and washed out and the night tracks should have the lighting feel more dynamic and atmospheric. It's just something that I can't put my finger on about GRID 2019's graphics compared to 1, 2, and Autosport. It feels rushed and not put more time in getting the colors and lighting to create an atmosphere and an identity that would make it all on it's own.
I know this is an old comment but I wanted to say as my own personal experience with the grid autosport ...you're damn right it felt like it take from both grid 2 and grid 1 like mixed in between
Grid Autosport all the way… with car physics and all, really nicely done back then. Even now it makes a lot of fun on T300RS setup. In many cases the car handles way better than for example GT6 so a game from similar era …😊
I'm not sure with this whole negative bias against the GRID 2019 tho.. like all these comments here (and also on the other videos) are anything but properly stated argument particularly regarding the visual details of the game. Visually, it's pretty obvious that GRID 2019 has it improved quite significant than the previous series e.g. physical based rendering (PBR) system, material correct shader, higher polycount and updated texture models and resolutions on most objects and surfaces (yeah, it may not be as impressive as Forza Horizon 4's higher quality photogrammetry assets models and textures, but still it's all an obvious upgrade over previous series), entirely new car models built for the game's PBR system, new pre-computed lighting model based on a more realistic real-time lighting model which emulate realistic GI elements e.g. volumetric lighting, indirect lighting, and light bounce, more realistic nightime lighting, and visualized rain weather include emulated rain droplets on windshield. But then it's not without any flaw at all: Overexposure, unnatural contrast, bloom and colorgrade (all those flaws in particular are greatly ruining the presentation of visual and also distracting to the gameplay experience), bad tree models, unnatural and too reflective reflection and tonemapping on car (which often obscures the appearance of car's self shadow on any occasion), fake cubemap reflection on wet tarmacs and rain puddles, and apparently worse damage models.
you answered your question by yourself. All these visual improvements are not noticeable due to short LOD and stupid over/under exposure. The game looks almost similar (and even worse sometimes) to previous 6 yo games
If I only could filter out all messages that talk about how the games sound, looks, crappy AI's. I would filter it all and just look for how the game physics play, this is everything to me.
@@zaebaniyunderground6260 many people don't have a lot of space in their rooms. And even if they have still they cannot afford it because the steering wheels are too expensive.
You can find it on shops with cheap keys, such as allkeyshop and eneba for like 3€ or something. You buy the game, and then you activate the key on steam, no matter that it's not available anymore.
O Grid 2 parece ser a melhor opçao, entretanto o cockpit do Grid 1 é muito melhor, ja nas batidas o carro que melhor se desintegra e amassa é no Grid Auto Sport...dificil escolher...lol kkkk
Grid 2 is the hardest goddamn game for me thats why is always play dirt 3 In grid 2 its so hard to play in the first level and i cant beat it but i will try to i like the graphics and its pretty realistic. Id get id if would be an proffesional car gamer.
The original grid and grid 2 played best, auto sport was terrible but I agree with people that 2019 version looks worst of the lot. Wish I’d watched this video before as I just ordered and it’s getting delivered tomorrow. I still play grid 2 it’s the best of the lot
@@Player-jx9pd the races before the final race and the vehicle challenges. I *finally* beat the 3 round faceoff (Freestyle Xtreme) and only have the Evo Faceoff left before the finals
GRID 2019 is 5 years newer but looks even worse than old GRIDs. Ridiculous. I was so excited when they announced new game in series but now I'm very disappointed
For people who want realistic, they will choose grid or forza horizon. For those who wants action and power, they will go for asphalt and need for speed.
Recently downloaded Auto sport and took two days to realize it's the worst controls system in a grid game. I've played grid 2 before though auto sport has all kinds of cars and would be fun but even though you turn off all the assists in settings when you try to turn to any direction slightly. The car somehow makes itself straight again after releasing the button. And does it so fast like I wish I had a proper explanation. For short in Grid 2 you only need like 5 or 6 races to get the hang of the game. But in Grid Auto sport something's terrible and only the people who played grid 2 and auto sport soon to each other would see this I think. Cars are stabilizing themselves even though you turn off the assists. Which makes you drive like an as***** and like you're the worst player ever. Drifting is quite hard since car doesn't keep on staying the direction you trying to turn or drift
Arcade physics have their own characteristics per programme team. You are correct, grid has its own mini drift (outside the actual drift discipline). 360 is the best wheel settings for this game ) although 540 and 900 are doable.
he doesnt wasting time, he compare what the best idea of GRID (1,2 and Autosport) and Its not console bro Grid is the game. u wasting us with ur stupid brain
