GRID Legends does have damage model, just semi rigid.

@@farhanrizkiahnafa7404 I'm sorry, but bumper scratches are not damage models. And in order for the bumper to fly off there, you need to drive into the wall at full speed 3 times in a row. No one forced them to do races with full destruction. But they made this mode, for some reason ...

I know it's an old comment, but I just couldn't stop myself from actually thinking about it. I enjoyed Dirt Showdown a lot as strange as it sounds, although I haven't played this update nor have i played this game because it's too expensive, I just don't see as much destruction and carnage as showdown had, this looks very tame, the damage model is almost non existent and the variety of vehicles is trash, dirt showdown had very interesting tracks with a very cool looking theme, this looks bland imo, where dirt showdown had this dirty look to it, this looks straight up clean

@@Swartkin I haven't played this Grid update too tbh, but i did spent a lot of time with Dirt Showdown back when it's released. And I agree with your opinion here, Dirt Showdown does offer more content (it was an actual spin-off after all instead of just an update) compared to this Grid update. This Grid update is interesting in terms of gameplay since you have dozens of other cars in one race, but I guess that's pretty much it (understandable since it was meant to be just an update instead of a full blown spin-off) , meanwhile Dirt Showdown has more variety in racing modes and also a great atmosphere, and I honestly had a great time with it. Even if the gameplay felt a bit lackluster (compared to other demolition derby games), I felt like Dirt Showdown achieved what it's supposed to be, a fun spin off entry for the Dirt series.

It's not even worth playing. The damage models are so bad for demolition derby standards despite this mode using 100% fictional cars. The cars are recycled assets from dirt showdown, while the tracks aren't even that good. Yet they charge £8.99 for this DLC.

Actually demolition derby in the first GRID wasn't that bad. Even adds more fun when using that one cheat where you can like pushing people until they flying like crazy. I guess it wasn't suprising that they were a bad flatout or wreckfest knock off, because GRID's focus wasn't on demolition derby. Demolition derby is there to add content to the game
