Watch as we try an early preview version GRID Legends with a wheel and a sim racing cockpit. While this clearly isn’t meant to be a serious racing game, EA and Codemasters claim that you can still have fun with a racing wheel.
That sounded like a challenge to us, so we fired up the sim rig and tried three races to see how it feels. First, Ginettas around London, then the electric Super E single-seaters with Boost Zones and finally the epic GT1 race cars around Brand Hatch.
To reiterate, this is an early build and only includes the racing, the story and career modes will no doubt add to the experience at launch. Also, the wheel settings, force feedback, AI, visuals and damage is all a work in progress and not final.
But, watch to see if the handling has improved over 2019’s GRID and let us know in the comments below if you’re interested in GRID Legends, which releases on 25th February 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S
