I played with my dad on PS3, we used to fight who had the fastest time, good memories, he passed away in 2016, and this game has always marked my life❤️
Summer 2008 when I had my new xbox 360 elite I downloaded this games demo on marketplace and placed the heck out of it on multiplayer. Sometimes I would just let this song play on the main menu for a while. Good times, crazy to think that was half a lifetime ago now.
I listen to this song after finishing projects at work. It's perfect for relaxing and allowing myself to feel accomplished. Never played grid or heard the song until recently. No nostalgia bias - it's just a great vibe.
The original Grid was an amazing game and good mix of arcade and sim. I also loved the inclusion of the Trans am racers liveries with the classic muscle cars.
This was my alarm for years until I finished with Academy around 2014 been using it for 5 years straight still getting adrenaline pumping as soon I hear the opening pure focus!! also used it for tenure abroad for 6 years untill last year love every second waking up Still love the blurry grimey gritty feel of original GRID 2007
Yeah its awesome how you can program your mind to react in a way to music right? I used to "save" memories of moments in a part of a song and when I rehear it in a quiet moment I can feel the moment again :)
This song is so much calm, I love it. It feels as if it takes you on a journey, cruising highway speeds at sunset or in the middle of the night... Just enjoying the drive, nothing to care about in the world. Just you and the open roads.
I didn't get it at first* but this is a legitimate masterpiece with so much love and care put into it *I hated GRID 2 at first then grew to love it similarly
back when me and my dad used to play the campaign and there was no issues in life, now he might be leaving me and my mom while shes fighting cancer this game shall always bring me nostalgia 💖
I played this game, when I was a kid, just in release. I reach 170+ season and stop playing for some reason. When I buy this game and start playing in steam like 3 years ago, somehow I just continue my old savegame... Oh man, all my cars, my liveries etc... Nostalgia hits so hard in my head, that was a little bit painful, but it was so good... This ost following me all this time, I dowload this in my playlist as I was a kid, just after my first heard this song. Sorry for bad english, I start learning it not so long time ago :)
Grew up watching my dad play this, to eventually play it myself. Then i started beating him in the game... was kind of a wierd feeling.. then gta 5 realeased and we have played together for many years, still do sometimes :) hes 56 now and im 21
I believe you can still find active global keys, i got mine on I think G2A for like 3 euros global key and it worked. Still huge shame that such gems are not in the Steam store and that game companies don't extend their licences...
I mean starting the game in a Racing spec Dodge Viper "Subtle it ain't" on a San Francisco street circuit on the hardest difficulty. Memorable barely defines it. I remember that one. Doesn't run on Windows 10 last I tried. ☹
I never played grid, but I played ProStreet and GT5 around the same time as a kid.. like 6th / 7th grade i guess. Somehow, this song takes me there, even having never heard it before
By the way, what kind of chillout music is that? Chill-hop or something like... what is it? I'm asking coz i wanna go deeper into investigation of this music layer.
